Chapter 1642

Chapter 1642

Sky arrived at the entrance to the mausoleum. However, his path was blocked by a stone wall.

"Damn it," he hissed.

He concentrated his True Energy and slammed his palm into the stone wall before him.

King Quavon had instructed his servants to specially build this stone wall.It took them countless yearsof painstaking effort to construct it with unique materials.

Although Sky had ascended the peak of the Sixth Stair, he could not break the wall.

"There must be some sort of mechanism."

After he let out his frustrations on the wall, he calmed down and began to look for the mechanism.Hesearched for a long time but to no avail.

Before he could find the mechanism to open the stone wall, a figure approached him.It was Thomaswho had also rushed to the scene.

Thomas immediately noticed that Sky was searching around for something. He walked over, glanced athim, and asked, "What’s going on?"

Sky replied, "I was a little too late. The Blithes have already entered King Quavon’s Mausoleum usingthe floor plan.I’m stuck at this checkpoint and can’t proceed any further."

Thomas scanned the surroundings and began to search for the mechanism Sky described. Before thetwo could activate the mechanism, another person soon arrived. It was Callan who had rushed overafter hearing the news.

More and more people began appearing outside King Quavon’s Mausoleum.

Meanwhile, James and Tapio continued to solve the various puzzles and advanced further into themausoleum while Donovan followed behind them.He remained silent throughout the journey.

As for the other Blithe members, they became increasingly vigilant after the initial casualties, and therewere no more accidents along the way.

Tapio suddenly stopped in his tracks.

James asked, "What's wrong?"

Tapio replied, "If the floor plan is correct, we should be right outside the crypt. We'll need to get past thiscomplicated labyrinth in order to reach it."

James had also scrutinized the floor plan.

Thus, he knew there was a labyrinth within the mausoleum.

He turned to Donovan and said, "Pass the floor plan to me.I'll do a double-check."

Donovan took out the floor plan and handed it to James without hesitation.

James pursed his lips together before saying, "There’s indeed a labyrinth marked out on the floor plan, but it doesn’t show the passages within it."

James folded open the floor plan and pored over it.

The labyrinth was huge and was composed of a multitude of stone chambers.

Inside the labyrinth, there were intricate passages that passed through these stone chambers.

Unfortunately, the floor plan merely marks the labyrinth’s location on the map and did not specify theway to get through it.

James looked at Tapio and asked, "Do you remember how long we've been walking in themausoleum?"novelbin

Tapio gently shook his head and said, "No, I only realized we entered the labyrinth after passing by afew stone chambers."

"Then, we should turn back."

James pointed at the floor plan and said, "We should return to this location.

Although the route isn’t marked out, we can still easily pass through the labyrinth since we canreference the overall layout."

Tapio nodded and said, "That’s our only option for now."

James put away the floor plan.

"M-My floor pl—"

Before Donovan could finish his sentence, James glared at him.

He immediately shut his mouth and swallowed the rest of his words.

"The floor plan belongs to us.You can hold onto it for the time being, but please return it to me after weleave this place. It’s been passed down in my family, and although it'll be useless after this, it’s still animportant family heirloom."

James ignored Donovan.

Following his memory, he pushed open a stone door and walked out of the labyrinth.

Tapio followed closely behind him.

Suddenly, Donovan came to a sudden stop and quickly pushed another stone door open, leading hisfamily members away.

James turned around and realized Donovan was no longer following them.

Suddenly, he had a bad premonition and quickly turned back.

However, the Blithes were nowhere to be seen.

"Damn it! Donovan’s escaped."

James quickly determined the direction they had left in and said, "He must know how to get through thelabyrinth.I think they went this way.Let’s go after them."

Tapio quickly pulled James back and said, "Don’t act rashly. This labyrinth may look simple, but it usesthe principles of the Four Symbols, Five Elements, and Eight Trigram Formation. It’ll be impossible toget through without understanding these concepts.Let's proceed with the method you justsuggested. We'll return to the starting point and use the floor plan to find a route through the labyrinth."

"That seems like our only option now." James nodded.
