Chapter 1490

Chapter 1490

James left the courthouse and returned home.

It was already eight in the morning when he reached home.

Thea did not sleep the whole night as she was paying attention to the latest news.

Fortunately, there were no accidents last night.,

Seeing James return home, she sighed in relief and quickly inquired, “Honey, did you encounter anyproblems last night?”

“No.”

James sat down and said, “It went smoothly. It was so successful to the point where it felt a littleabnormal.”

Thea looked at James puzzledly.

James explained. “Last night, I arrested Graydon, but neither Orient Commerce nor the Gu Sectshowed up to stop me. I killed Graydon and detained the chief justice and law enforcers of thecourthouse. However, Tobias showed up with members of the Phantom Army in the morning. He saidhe was not there to stop me but to help me…”

James briefly narrated the events.

Thea replied with a smile, “Isn’t that a good thing? You can join forces with Orient Commerce and getrid of the Gu Sect first.”

“Mhm. That’s what I’m thinking too.” James nodded.

The Gu Sect was much more threatening than Orient Commerce.

Ultimately, Orient Commerce wanted to serve the country and its people, wishing to do what was bestfor its people.

However, the Gu Sect was different.

The consequences of the Gu Sect taking over were dire.

“I’m exhausted and will head back to the room to sleep.”

James did not sleep last night and was fatigued. He did not even bother eating breakfast beforeheading back to the room to sleep.

When he woke up, it was already noon.

His sleep was interrupted by Thea.

“Honey, wake up. Something happened.”

Thea’s voice pulled him back to reality.

James rolled over and got out of bed. He looked at the gorgeous Thea and asked, “What’s wrong? What happened?”

“I don’t know either. Maxine’s the one who said so. Get up and go ask her yourself.”

James got dressed and walked out of the room.

Many people were gathered in the living room.

Maxine from the Cadens, Delilah, and Delainey from the Mount Thunder Sect were all present.

James walked over, sat down, and looked at Maxine, asking, “What’s wrong? What happened?”novelbin

Maxine said solemnly, “We received international news that something serious has happened.”

“Hmm?”

James was stunned for a moment before asking, “Something serious happened internationally?”

“Yeah.”

Maxine explained, “In the past few days, many powerful martial artists from the Elysian Ranking havemysteriously disappeared. There’s also news that many international martial artists overseas havebeen going missing in the past few days.”

“Missing?”

James’ expression became serious.

He remembered Lucjan poisoning the air at Mount Olympus in the past and capturing many martialartists.

Callan was the one who stepped up to stop him.

“Could it be another one of the Gu Sect’s tricks?”

James had a solemn expression as he murmured, “What exactly is the Gu Sect trying to do?”

After thinking for a while, he asked, “What’s the situation right now? Is there any reliable news abouthow these international martial artists are disappearing?”

“Rumors say that the Blood Race has begun to take action. They’re wiping out all other factions thataren’t affiliated with them,” Maxine whispered.

“The Blood Race?”

James’ expression grew anxious.

Seeing how the Blood Race was involved, Lycian had to be a part of it.

What exactly were Lucjan and the Blood Race trying to achieve?

Maxine sighed deeply and said, “The situation in Sol hasn’t been taken care of, and now even foreigncountries are in chaos. There’s so much to worry about.”
