Chapter 563

Chapter 563 He Died Just Like That!

On the other side of the ocean, it was Bert who told Evelyn that Mia had died in two days.

The woman who had put her on the verge of death so many times had died just like that.

Evelyn didn’t know how to feel. She didn’t feel sad or regretful, and she didn’t even feel a trace ofpleasure after revenge. She was just very calm, and her chest was stuffy.

Evelyn didn’t expect that Mia would die so easily, even in a suicidal way. In her heart, such a viciouswoman would try her best to get what she wanted, even at the last second.

But she didn’t commit suicide because she was so persistent that she was delirious.

Evelyn suddenly understood one thing. It turned out that everyone in the world had their ownweaknesses. No one could be invincible, even if they were such a villain.

Bert looked at her in a daze as she looked out of the window. He walked slowly to her side, took a thinwool blanket, and put it on her shoulder. “Don’t think too much. Lie down and rest.”

Evelyn was nearly eight months pregnant now and was about to

give birth. She had hired a nurse and a doctor at home. In a few days, she would go to the hospital towait for the delivery. It was not good for her health to think too much.

Evelyn lowered her eyes and looked at her bulging belly. When she arrived, her flat belly was alreadybulging.

With each passing day, her weight and physical burden caused her ankle to swell. Every time herfingers pressed on it, there would be a pit, and her body was extremely bloated.

Evelyn’s pregnancy reaction was very serious. Every time she ate, she suffered a lot, especially in thepast three to six months. She almost relied on nutrients and various nutrition needles to survive.

As she was pregnant and couldn’t work, Bert supported her financially. Therefore, when Evelyn facedthis man, she couldn’t raise her head.

After getting along with him for half a year, Evelyn knew more about the man in front of her. He wasvery mysterious, but he was indeed a gentleman. When she was in trouble, he did not threaten her orwant to get anything. They met very little, once or twice a week. Most of the time, they were together onweekends. He spent the rest of the time on business trips, either intentionally or unintentionally, keeping a safe and inviolable distance from her.novelbin

When Evelyn had nothing to do, she would read books on law and study. She was going to get alawyer’s license from Eoland after giving birth.

The only fortunate thing was that in such torture, Evelyn looked forward to the arrival of the baby. Shethought of that person

less often and occasionally flashed through her mind in an instant.

“Thank you, Bert.” Evelyn sounded very serious and grateful.

The man stood next to Evelyn. From this angle, the woman’s skin was very good. It was fair anddelicate. Perhaps because she was pregnant, she looked more watery, plump, and delicate thanbefore. Her hair was tied up behind her head, revealing her slender neck and exquisite facial features.Evelyn was the most beautiful pregnant woman Bert had ever seen.

So Bert didn’t dare to live with her every day, for fear that he couldn’t help doing something. He wasbusy on business trips and works.

Fortunately, he was a man with strong self-control.

“I’ll send someone to take you to the hospital to wait for the delivery in two days. You can stay here withpeace of mind. Don’t worry about anything else.” Bert said in a low voice, and there was no trace ofrestlessness in his voice.

Evelyn touched her round belly and looked into the distance. After pondering for a long time, she saidin a choked voice, “This child will never forget you because of your help.”

Evelyn was so touched that Bert felt as if his heart had been grabbed. It didn’t hurt, but it itched a little.

The man curled his lips silently, and there was a hint of warmth in his eyes. “I saved him for you. Whydon’t you thank yourself?”

The rims of Evelyn’s eyes turned red. Being alone in a foreign country did not feel good. What Bert saidwas like a warm current flowing into her heart, nourishing her wrinkled heart due to uneasiness.

Evelyn hoped that God would give all her luck to this child and let him come to this world healthily.
