Once we entered the living room, we found Trevor and Elaine sitting together. Elaine was all over him,while Trevor looked like he wanted to be anywhere but here.
Hey!” Elaine cheered when watching us. She got up from her seat, but only to welcome and greet theothers. From the looks of it. I could tell her mother had told her why they were all coming here. She wasmentally preparing to put on a good show when they all humiliated me.
‘Seems like somebody dressed up for their funeral,’ Elaine mocked me when staring at me from headto toe.

‘Don't worry, I haven't heard about you either," Kellice waved her hand at her and silenced Elaine. Onecould tell Elaine didn't like Kellice responding so rudely to her, but she could only afford one target atthe moment.
‘It is nice seeing you alive again, Thiago.” Elaine had a shine in her eyes when talking to Theo. It wasn'tuntil she blinked too hard that I recalled how she wanted to be in the past.
Elaine! Do you know who Kellice is? She is Thiago's new girlfriend.’ Vinona had to jump in to turn herattention back at me. Elaine watched her mother's face in shock and then looked my way.
"Wow!" she mumbled, cracking a smile of pleasure.
‘It is so sad how every one of Enya's mates has found a new and better mate,” she covered her mouthafter passing a comment, but nobody laughed. I believe she expected the others to take her side, sincethat's what Vinona had planned.
So far, the night is not going well, as expected for Vinona.
Trevor! I recognize you.” Theo stole the attention again, but this time, he talked to the silent boy aboutenduring Elaine's craziness.
‘Alpha Thiago!’ Trevor bowed down to him in respect, but Theo shrugged his shoulders and waved hishand at him, dismissing his greetings.

The way Vinona and Elaine shared a glance, I could tell they were regretting their decision to invite usover.

Elaine and Vinona had taken over everything, so Ethen was just a tool now.
‘Let's not joke around a lot.’ Vinona understood that Theo didn't plan to insult me, as she rememberedhow he always took my side and turned the tables. Hence, she moved on to the person who hadpreviously given her the pleasure of mocking me.
‘Lazio! How is Valerie? Is she coming over soon? Is she able to bring you peace with what yourprevious mate couldn't do for you?" Her tone turned toxic when she added me to the sentence.
"Valerie will never come here. This used to be Enya's home, so I don't see why Valerie should comehere. As for the pleasure, I think I am now realizing what I have lost.’ Lazio didn't hesitate to complainand express his feelings openly.
"What?" Vinona asked in shock.
‘I know you were probably expecting me to say anything that would disrespect Enya, but I cannot dothat. I have realized that there is no one more perfect Luna than her. It is better if you, too, realize thatthe only reason you are all still thriving is because of her.’ Lazio explained that he was not hiding histrue feelings anymore.

I wish he had shown an ounce of empathy, or at least been guilty, over his expressions in the past. Ifthat had been the case, I would have still considered him, but now!
I could only think of one reason why he was being nice to me. The arrival of Theo had caused them tofear competition. For me, I would always think that was the only reason the two suddenly startedfeeling guilty.

’He is saying all this because he has not spent a day with her,” Elaine scoffed, showing extremeaggression.
‘But I have been living with you, and trust me, it is a horrible feeling. You should learn from your sister,’Trevor raised his voice to be taken seriously. It was a miracle because they had invited my mates overto humiliate me, and here Elaine was getting lectured.
