In the elegantly simple CEO office, Ivan furrowed his brows and took a deep breath. He tilted his head slightly, his handsome face obscured by the bright sunlight, making it hard to read his expression. His eyes were deep like the dark night sky, exuding natural arrogance and nobility.

Agnes returned to the flower shop. She had only taken a half-day off but had to come back today and return to the company by 2:30 PM.

"Mom!"

"Agnes??" Summer's mom was surprised to see her daughter and quickly came out from among the flowers. "Why are you back? You didn't give any notice! Have you eaten?"

"I have. Where's Dad?" Agnes looked around as she entered. "Isn't he home?"

"Your dad went to get supplies," Summer's mom answered happily. "It's almost Goddess Day; we need some carnations."

"Mom, don't be busy right now. I have to go back to work this afternoon." Agnes said, pulling her mother's arm.

"I made soup today. Want a bowl?"

"No, I'm full!"

"What's wrong? Did something happen? You seem in a hurry and didn't mention anything on the phone." Summer's mom noticed something was off.

"It's about my sister... It seems she remembers something but also doesn't remember clearly," Agnes said. "She might regain her memory eventually." Summer's mom was silent for a few seconds after hearing this. "That's good; only then will her life be complete."

"But at first, you all told her she was Ming's girlfriend, and that's why she stayed with him," Agnes expressed her concern. "Even though they've been stable for years and are about to get married, it all started with a lie."

"Even if it was a lie, it was a kind one and didn't harm her," Summer's mom smiled. "Don't you want your sister to move on from her past relationship? She almost lost her life because of that boy."

"I know, but she didn't love Rupert that much."

"That was before. What about now? Can you say she doesn't love him after all these years together?"

As a young person, Agnes had her worries. "I just wanted to tell you so you're prepared."

"It's okay," Summer's mom

Agnes didn't know what to say.

Summer's mom continued, "It's good for a daughter to marry close by, especially into a family like the Brightwoods that we know well. Mrs. Brightwood and Mr. Brightwood are good people who won't mistreat your sister. If they want to buy a house in the city, they'll fully support them, and Mrs. Brightwood is willing to help with the kids."

Agnes didn't say much more; she had already conveyed what she needed to.

Ming was indeed great and had the family's full approval; he could surely make her sister happy. As a top student willing to give up a

Many times, Agnes felt both envious and moved.

"Oh, Agnes! Your sister's classmate came by earlier asking about her wedding plans; they're planning to come for the celebration!" Summer's mom suddenly remembered and told her daughter happily. "My sister's classmate?" Agnes was surprised. "Who?"
