The surveillance video was playing, and Angel could clearly see herself entering the frame. Shewas caught off guard and felt a tingling sensation on her scalp.

Was there surveillance in the hallway? How did she not know about it? She had made sure therewas no surveillance here!

"In an inconspicuous corner at the end, there's a surveillance camera. You still won't admit it?"Harlan stared at her, convinced that she was the murderer. "You tampered with her water glass, andthe footage shows you destroying evidence!"

"No! Who said that glass definitely belonged to her?" Angel vehemently retorted, sticking to herstory.

"Is it yours?" The man pressed on, closing in on her. "Where's the glass?"

"I was just carrying the same glass down the hallway! Are you accusing me over just a glass,especially a limited edition one?! Pink glasses are everywhere in supermarkets! You're a man, youwouldn't understand! Ninety percent of women in the world like pink!" Spencer, who was standingnearby, winced slightly at her argument, the frustration evident on his handsome face.

Harlan was about to dial 911 as he spoke, but Adelaide instinctively hugged Angel's shoulders,feeling helpless.

Scared, Angel stopped him from calling, raising her voice. "The police need evidence to handle this!This is just speculation based on a water glass! Besides, Summer isn't dead. What can the policedo to me?"

"How do you know she's not dead?" Harlan fumed. "Is it because you didn't want to kill her?"

"Harlan, let her go," Spencer said, calmly defending her. "It's just surveillance of someone with thesame glass. It can't conclude she did anything, and the doctor said Summer just had a simplestomachache. Do you really need to call the police over this minor issue?"

"Yes," Spencer replied calmly, meeting his gaze. "So let's not blow this out of proportion. There'sreally no issue here. It's making it seem like you're someone important to Summer, causing troublefor her in the end."
