The expression on Bailey's face suddenly became complex. It seems she doesn't have the slightestfondness for Simon. It was probably her daughter's wish to be acknowledged by her father, which waswhy she came to Hallsbay. If Simon wants to marry her, he probably has to go through quite a fewtrials.
“If you don't want to meet Simon, then don't. No one will force you. I suggest you go to Morantabecause Mr. Yablon will meet me there. You want him to help you with the detoxification, don't you?Going there with me will give you a chance to meet him.”
After a moment of silence, Catherine finally nodded. “All right. We'll be counting on you to give us a ridethere. Bailey, I owe you a favor. If you ever need anything in the future, don't hesitate to ask me. I'll domy best to help.”
After she finished speaking, she turned around and went back to the living room.
Bailey stood still for a few seconds, then followed along.
Catherine took out a porcelain bottle from her carry-on luggage and handed it to Bailey. “Just unscrewthe cap and wave it under his nose a couple of times.”
Bailey reached out to take it, her gaze sweeping over the direction of the bedroom. Then sheinstructed, “You and Luna should stay in the hotel. After I wake up Mr. Fletcher, we'll head straight toMoranta. If there's anything urgent, feel free to call me.”
After she finished speaking, she reached out to pick up the mobile phone on the table. In a few quickmoves, she cracked the password and entered a phone number.
Seeing that, Catherine couldn't help but exclaim, “I added several layers of encryption to my phone'spassword. To think you cracked it in seconds. You truly live up to your reputation as the world's tophacker, Spook.”
With a playful raise of her eyebrows, Bailey said with a smile, “If you want to learn, I can teach you.”
Catherine was speechless.
“I'll be leaving now. Stay in touch with me.”
“Okay.”
After Bailey left, the bedroom door opened, and Luna emerged from the room. “Mommy, is that thefamous international tycoon, Bailey? I want her to be my mentor.”
Catherine gently stroked her daughter's head and said softly, “Then you should cooperate with her todetoxify the poison in your body. Once you've managed to save your own skin, I'll beg her to take youin as her apprentice.”
“All right! It's a promise, then.”
Inside the guest room of the Fletcher residence, Yolanda quickly stood up to greet Lindsay upon seeingthe latter.
“Mommy, how are things going? Has Catherine cured Mr. Fletcher yet? When will the Fletcher family lift
my house arrest?”
Lindsay grimaced, her eyes and brows radiating strong malice.
With her teeth clenched tightly, she spoke word by word. “I was tricked by that wretched girl, Catherine.She actually used a sedative fragrance on Mr. Fletcher behind my back. Even Bailey can't break thedream-tailoring skill. Mrs. Fletcher thinks I did something, so she sent me here to be under housearrest with you.”
Yolanda's jaw dropped in disbelief as she looked at her mother. “Are you saying that both of us can'tescape the possibility of being imprisoned?”
Lindsay sneered, “As soon as Catherine appeared in Dellmoor, her cousin Eunice rushed over. Youknow as well as I do that those two have always been at odds with each other. As long as it'ssomething that goes against Catherine, Eunice is always happy to do it.”
Yolanda was momentarily taken aback. She asked blankly, “What do you mean?”
“She gave me a sedative fragrance, a lethal one that could lead anyone to their demise. Once Mr.Fletcher inhales it, his death will be certain. Once he kicks the bucket, Eunice will appear at theFletcher residence, accusing Catherine of killing Mr. Fletcher. When the time comes, neither Bailey norCatherine will be able to escape. I'll make sure they all end up in prison for daring to scheme againstme.”
Yolanda chuckled softly. It seems the heavens are still on my side. Although... “Mommy, we're bothunder house arrest now. How are we supposed to apply the sedative fragrance to Mr. Fletcher?”
Lindsay grinned sinisterly. “I spent some time in the Fletcher residence's medical room. Do you think Icouldn't have bribed a doctor or two? I reckon that sedative fragrance has already been applied to Mr.Fletcher. All we can do now is silently await good news.”
Yolanda reached out and hugged Lindsay's arm, gently swaying it a few times. With a beaming smile,she said, “Mommy, you're the best.”

Raising an eyebrow, he watched the surveillance footage on his laptop.
On the side, the bodyguard in black respectfully said, “Mr. Raiden, two people have been lurkingaround the medical room acting suspiciously. These two are usually close to Mrs. Gibson. She mighthave bought them out. Do we need to bring them in for questioning?”
Raiden gently swirled the wineglass in his hand with a smirk. “The fox hasn't revealed its true colorsyet. What's the rush? Since they've been bought off, they're probably up to no good. Let's sit back and
watch what kind of mischief they're up to.”
“Understood”
After some thought, Raiden said again, “You're guarding the infirmary like a fortress. How is anyonesupposed to do bad stuff?”
The bodyguard instantly understood what Raiden meant and nodded. “I will arrange for a gapimmediately, allowing them to enter the infirmary as they wish.”
Raiden grinned. “Just stay there and wait. Once they fall into the trap, bring them to the study.”
“Understood.”
No sooner had the bodyguard in black left than the phone on the table began to ring.
It was a call from Bailey.
Raiden casually swiped the answer button and chuckled, “I'm in the middle of ghost hunting. Do youwant to come over and enjoy the show?”
Bailey couldn't help but chuckle. “I knew they wouldn't behave. They're truly stubborn. You don't needto worry about my relationship with the Gourd family. They should get what they deserve. Since theydared to harbor ill intentions, they should be severely punished. You merely need to handle itimpartially.”
A gentle light flashed past Raiden's eyes.
He loved a woman like Bailey, bold and passionate.
In his opinion, no other woman in the world could make him feel so profoundly.
“All right. I'll handle it myself, then. How are things on your end? Have you gotten the antidote for thesedative fragrance from Catherine?” asked Raiden.
“Indeed, I've got it. I was actually thinking of rushing over to wake your father up right now. However,you're over there catching ghosts. Hence, I think I'll wait a bit longer. I'm quite tired anyway. I want to goback and get some good sleep,” said Bailey.

Listening to the beeping tone, Raiden smiled bitterly.
