Waverly clenched her jaw in anger and enunciated, “Fine! In that case, call my husband and my son totell them you're not returning to the Shurmer family, and tell them not to hold a press conference.”
Bailey nodded. “Sure. I'll call Zeke and tell him that. Don't worry. I won't tell them you came to theLuther residence to look for me and force me to give up returning to the Shurmer family. Instead of answering Felicity, Bailey looked out the window to watch Waverly's back gradually
disappeared from her sight. I shouldn't feel anything for that woman. If I get sad, that will mean she haswon. She never loved me, so I don't need her. After all, it's not like I lack motherly love.
In the CEO's office of one of the branch offices of LG Corporation, Lionel was reading a few urgentdocuments he had received from all around the world.
Right then, his assistant pushed the glass door open and walked in.
“Mr. Gezmond, I need to tell you something.”
Lionel didn't bother lifting his head. While he was still working, he drawled, “Go on.”
“Mr. Saunders of Saunders Group is selling three percent of his shares with a market value of fivehundred million.”
Lionel's fingers froze momentarily. He slowly raised his head to look at his assistant. With a frown, heasked, “Are you sure Victor is selling his shares?”
“Yes. It has already entered the trading center, and a few rich businessmen are eyeing his shares andmaking bids. However, their bids haven't met Ms. Saunders' valuation, so they haven't completed thetransaction.”
Lionel held his forehead, feeling troubled. The late Mr. Saunders worked so hard to build SaundersGroup. I don't know how he would feel if Saunders Group were to end this way, but I know Victoria isgoing to be devastated.
“Contact Victor by saying that you're a Chanaean from Ustrana. Buy those shares from him, but tell him
to keep it as a secret. Don't let him tell anyone that he sold off his shares,” Lionel instructed.
The assistant hesitated for a moment before asking cautiously, “That's five hundred million worth ofshares. If LG Corporation spends that much money, the public is going to cause a huge ruckus. Howare we supposed to keep it a secret?”
