Juliana tapped on his shoulder and smiled. “For you. I'm not leaving anymore. I'll follow them back.”
Perplexed, Sebastian looked at her and asked, “Are you not pursuing Mr. Shurmer? Are you giving upon him?”

“Aunt Juliana, are you really going back? Are you doing it to save me?” Sebastian frowned.
Juliana patted his cheek and teased, “You wish! You think highly of yourself, don't you? I'm going backto take over power.”
“Is power more important than the man? If you can get Zeke, you will be the matriarch of the Shurmerfamily. You will still be powerful, no?”
Juliana flashed a faint smile. “That's the sort of power that's given. It's not as good. All right, let's thinkabout how to get you out of here.”
Sebastian pursed his lips. “Don't worry. If Mr. Raymond doesn't hand me over, they won't be able toleave Hallsbay. I think we're still here now because they're trying to use me to get benefits from mybiological father. I don't mind playing along. For how he abandoned me and my mom, he deserves toget scammed by Mr. Raymond.”
Juliana's lips twitched. He's becoming more and more like Zayron! However, he has a point. IfRaymond wants to leave Hallsbay safely, he has to hand Sebastian over. At the moment, they just want
to take back what the Hoffman family wants from Holden. For example, the control over Zaewora.
“Perhaps I worry too much. Let's just hope your father actually cares about your life.”
Sebastian merely snorted in response. If he doesn't save me, I'm going to make his life a living hellwhen I get out.
Meanwhile, a loud slap echoed through the living room of a suite at a five-star hotel.
Sloan had just delivered Scarlett a tight slap across her face. “Who told you to drug Justin and try to getinto bed with him in front of so many guests?”
Scarlett held her cheek and slightly lowered her head to hide her hostile gaze. I was so close.Veronique is such a b*tch. She just had to mess up my plan. I hate her! I hate her!
Sloan got even angrier when he saw Scarlett keeping silent. “I've achieved so much, but somehow, Iended up having a foolish girl for a daughter. You wanted to sleep with a married man. Scarlett bit her lip and uttered through gritted teeth, “Justin was my fiancé, but Veronique snuck in andtook him. I can't accept it! Dad, I can't accept it.”
“You don't have a choice!” Sloan roared. “Now is the most critical moment for the transition of power.You better behave yourself. I have arranged for a plane to send you and your brother back to the
family.”
Scarlett balled her fists in anger.
Right then, Tamara went up to Scarlett and grabbed her arm. “Listen to your dad. Go back to Dellmoor,”she whispered.
Scarlett was about to retaliate, but Tamara sent her a warning by tightening her grip on her wrist.
“Fine. I'll go back.” Scarlett thought of something and caved in. I'll wait till the Fletcher family is inpower. By then, I'll get someone to get rid of Veronique.
Night had fallen when Bailey woke up.
When she opened her eyes, she noticed the room was dimly lit.
Upon adapting to the brightness of the light in the room, she turned to her side and saw Artemis sittingnext to her on the bed.
“You're awake?” His voice was hoarse, and there was a trace of weariness in his voice.
Bailey frowned and struggled to sit up. After that, she got out of bed and was about to leave thebedroom.
Artemis quickly went up to her to hold her arm. “Let's talk, Bay.”
“What's there to talk about?” Bailey shrugged him off. “I'm hungry. I'm going to make some food. Go to
bed if you're tired.”
Artemis pursed his lips in response.
She obviously didn't want to mention the pregnancy, so he didn't dare to bring it up. All he could do waswatch her leave the room.
Surprisingly, the kids were all very well-behaved. They were all watching TV while sitting on the couchin the living room.
Bailey glanced at the three of them and fixed her gaze on Zayron. While looking at him, she couldn'thelp but smirk. I thought the worst thing he could do was replace the contraceptive pill with folic acid.Never had I expected him to poke holes in the condom. How on earth did I end up giving birth to thisb*stard?
Zayron was trying his hardest to endure the constant stare, but he couldn't take it anymore. He asked,“H-How may I help you, Bailey?”
Bailey sneered and retracted her gaze before heading toward the kitchen.
Zayron felt aggrieved and glared at Maxton. “Why didn't you come up with this stupid idea?”
Maxton hugged Susan and moved away from Zayron. “Don't put this on me. I won't accept it.”
Soon, Artemis was seen walking out of the bedroom.
Susan leaned forward, slid off the sofa, and rushed into her father's embrace. “Daddy, Bay is so scary.
I've never seen her so angry before. No matter how Zayron messed around before this, she was neverso angry.”
Artemis patted her back and comforted her, “Everything's all right. Don't blame yourself and don't worryabout it. I'm here. It's getting late. Go to bed, all right?”
With that, he gently pushed her aside and headed toward the kitchen.
The moment he arrived at the entrance, a plate came flying in his direction and shattered into piecesright at his feet.
Artemis held his forehead. Are all pregnant women so feisty?
Stepping on a floor of broken glass, he went up and hugged Bailey. “Before I came here, I went to get aminor surgery. Nothing like this will happen again. I'm sorry,” he said cautiously.
Bailey turned around and narrowed her eyes at him. “What did you just say?”
“I'm sorry.”
“Before that.”
“Nothing like this will happen again.”
“Before that.”
“I went to get a minor surgery.” Artemis hesitated and added, “I went for a vasectomy procedure. You
won't get pregnant again.”
In response, Bailey pointed at the door and fumed, “Get out.”
Artemis looked at her with his puppy eyes and said, “I just had surgery, and I'm still hurting. Can I stay?I can sleep in the living room.”
Feeling defeated, Bailey leaped into his embrace and choked out, “Artemis, this is too sudden. This isway too sudden. I'm not prepared for this.”
Artemis was taken aback. “S-So... y-you're really pregnant?”
