Chapter 417

“Did you see that? He's Artemis Luther, the CEO of Luther Group, and he agreed. Move aside, quick.”

The security guard was stupefied.

Then the office door was pushed open, and Bailey headed straight to the desk.

She switched on the phone, pressed the keyboard randomly, and cracked the password.

The security guard was shocked to witness that scene. “As expected of the top hacker, Spook. Youonly need a few clicks to decrypt the double encryption. You're amazing.”

Bailey cast a glance at him and replied, “You're not bad too. You can tell that it's double encryption at aglance. It seems that there are experts hidden in the racing association.”

As soon as she finished her words, the computer was unlocked. novelbin

Bailey clicked on the desktop with the mouse and turned to Artemis. “It's this computer. Even thoughthe other party has disconnected the CPU from the controller, there are still some traces left in thesoftware.”

Artemis nodded and asked the security guard next to him, “Whose office is this?”

The security guard finally mustered his courage, thinking that there was nothing he should be afraid ofsince he could work as the security manager at Luther Group even if he were to get fired.

“This is Herbert Wright's office. Mr. Wright takes charge of car repair and maintenance for the race.

He's fully in charge of the racing cars used in this international competition.”

Artemis swept his gaze across the surroundings and asked, “Where is Mr. Wright? Has he gone towatch the race?”

“No. He was still in the office before you came and left not long ago.”

Artemis and Bailey exchanged glances and seemed to have fathomed what was on each other's mindsthrough their eyes.

They wondered if Herbert had scurried away after sensing that he would get exposed soon.

“Damn it!” Bailey turned around and was about to go after Herbert when Artemis stopped her. “We'regoing to lose him if I don't go after him now.”

Artemis' lips curled into a cold grin. “He can never get out of Hallsbay as long as he's still alive.”

Despite doubting that he was merely boasting, she had to agree that he was capable of doing so,indeed.

“I have no beef with the people from the racing association, and I didn't even reveal my identitypreviously. Why did he try to harm me and even resort to causing a car accident that could cost mylife?”

Artemis narrowed his eyes and fell silent for a moment before he suggested, “I suppose someoneordered him to do so. You have a high profile and have offended quite a number of people.”

Bailey was rendered speechless that she lifted her leg to kick his calf.

“Any more nonsense from you and it's your manhood that I'm kicking next.”

Artemis fell silent. He then reached out and held her by the waist. “Leave this to me. You don't have toworry about anything.”

Just then, sounds of chattering rang out from outside, and the two walked toward the window.

As they looked down, they could see the place was crowded with people, and it was such a magnificentscene.

Holding her forehead, Bailey asked, “What should we do? We're stuck here, and we can't even get outof this place. This is the deepest corner of the racing zone. We have to pass through the crowd if wewant to leave.”

Artemis pulled her back to the office, took a piece of paper and a pen from the table, and handed themto her. “Didn't they ask for your autograph? You just have to sign here and make one hundred thousandcopies. Everyone who came to watch the race will get one.”

Bailey instantly burst into laughter.

I guess only Artemis can come up with such a bad idea, but I like it.

“All right.”

She took the pen and signed her name on the paper.

Artemis picked up the paper and tapped the security guard on the shoulder. “Make one hundredthousand copies and distribute them to the people outside. If you get this done, you can start workingat Luther Group tomorrow.”

The security guard broke into a smile. “I'll make sure to get the job done.”

Bailey watched as the security guard darted out of the office. She arched an eyebrow and asked,“What should we do now? We still can't leave, no?”

Artemis grabbed the phone from her hand and called Andy. “Get a helicopter to the racing area andhave it land on the highest floor of the office building.”

Bailey could not help but laugh.

This man... I suppose there are not many in the world who can spend ostentatiously as he does. I lovethis man to bits.

A few minutes later, a helicopter could be seen hovering above Hallsbay.

Everyone watched as the helicopter landed on the top floor of the building.

Then, they saw Artemis and Bailey getting onto the helicopter and leaving in front of them.

“Do they have to make us feel worthless like this? They're showing off their wealth and ability as theywish. Do they even care about our feelings?”

“I think only Mr. Luther and Mr. Edmund can get a helicopter flying across Hallsbay, and they're actuallycousins.”

“I've been looking forward to getting an autograph for many years, and my hope is gone now. I'm sosad.”

Just then, the broadcast above them sounded.

“Ladies and gentlemen, please don't forget to come to the entrance to get Adhira's autograph beforeyou leave. Since there are many people here, it will take her forever to sign so many copies. Sherequested us to print a hundred thousand copies of her autograph for everyone to keep as souvenirs.”

The crowd was at a loss for words.

In the helicopter, Bailey was leaning against the seat as she picked up the call from Dexter.

“Tell me why you couldn't come to Hallsbay for the race. Because of you, I had to flee the scene byhelicopter.”

“Pass the phone to your man.”

Bailey was baffled. “What did you say?”

“I said pass the phone to your man. I know Artemis is next to you.”

Did he just ask to speak to Artemis?

Bailey narrowed her eyes as she stared at the man beside her. Gritting her teeth, she asked, “Youknow Dexter?”

Artemis frowned slightly. He could already guess why Dexter was looking for him.

“I know him. He's one of my sworn brothers, and he's the seventh in line.”

Bailey widened her eyes and looked at him in disbelief. “D-Dexter is your seventh sworn brother?”

“Yes, he is.” He grabbed the phone from her and placed it next to his ear. “What is it?”

“Artemis, help me deal with Bailey for the moment. She's raging too much, and you have to find a wayto calm her down every day. Well, if your body can't handle it, I can send you some supplements fromoverseas.”

“Get lost!” Artemis ended the call as soon as he finished his words.

Bailey raised a brow and said with a half-smile, “You knew Dexter would ask me to replace him for therace, yet you told me nothing about his identity. You kept me in the dark.”

Artemis did not know what to say.

“You will get your punishment when we go back.”

He could only remain silent.

“You're gonna get on your knees and beg for my forgiveness.”

Soon, the helicopter landed at a private mansion.

The couple got off the helicopter and saw Caridee rushing toward them from afar and running straightinto Bailey's arms.

Bailey stumbled a few steps backward because of the impact.

She seemed to have been hit somewhere, and she felt her stomach churning.

The next instant, she forcefully pushed Caridee away and started retching.

Caridee was startled. “B-Bailey, are you okay?”

Bailey threw up a little and eventually felt better.

“I'm okay. Maybe the race just now was too intense that it triggered the acid reflux.”

Caridee could not care less and reached out to hug Bailey again. “God! Bailey, how could you keep usin suspense when you're actually the Legendary Racer, Adhira?”
