Meanwhile, in Springwyn of Anglandur, it took Bailey three days to hide from Tarragon's spying. Shemanaged to reach the town in Tarragon where Shannon was currently staying.
She went to meet Veikko upon arrival. After knowing the situation from him, Bailey decided to bringShannon back to Hallsbay secretly.

“Zayron and Susan miss you dearly. They were the ones who invited you to go over to Hallsbay. I'mfine with you rejecting me, but you can't reject the kids, right?”
Shannon threw the water ladle in her hand into a pail and looked at Bailey.
After moments of silence, she asked softly, “He has discovered my whereabouts, right?”
Hearing that, Bailey kept mum.
She did not know what to say either.

Mentioning his name to Shannon was like poking her heart, which was already perforated, with aneedle. Hence, Bailey was worried that it would be too much for Shannon to handle.
Taking in Bailey's silence, Shannon did not press on for questions. Instead, she continued, “If that's thecase, just let it be. I've been hiding from him countless times for years, and I'm really tired of it. I willgladly accept my destiny by putting an end to this, even if we have to die together. He will have to payme back for my crippled arm and perished child, eventually.”
Meanwhile, Bailey's heart abruptly jolted.
She clearly wants to die together with him. I can't let this happen. I know that it's a suffering forShannon to live this way, but I can't just watch her die!
“You are my friend. I won't let you do this to yourself.”
As soon as Bailey finished her sentence, she dashed forward in Shannon's direction. When the lattersensed something was wrong and was about to retreat, it was too late. Bailey struck the back ofShannon's neck, knocking her out cold.
Holding the unconscious Shannon in her arms, Bailey could not help but sigh.

The next second, she carried her friend and promptly left the place.
She then met up with Veikko, preparing to board the plane.
Right then, one of Veikko's subordinates hurried over and informed his boss, “We are now surroundedby Tarragon's men!”

After ensuring that they had boarded the plane, she walked to a sports car next to her and opened the
car door to get in.
Seconds later, she stepped on the accelerator and sped away.
After an approximately ten-minute drive, Bailey halted the car. That location was the first line of defensewhere her people were stationed.
As soon as she got out of the car, she saw Micah.
He's really here.
“We meet again, Mr. Neyman. What's going on? Are you not satisfied with our last fight? Is that whyyou came all the way to Anglandur for another battle with me?”
Micah narrowed his eyes and frowned at her. He merely replied curtly, “Hand Shannon over to me.”
