Chapter 338

In the living room of the Luther residence, a loud slap echoed through the space.

Felicity had struck Rhonda so hard that the latter collapsed onto the carpet on the ground.

“You despicable woman! The agony you have caused me and the entire Luther family with your lies!Throughout these seven years, I was manipulated by you like a fool!”

Ignoring the burning sensation on her cheek, the pathetic Rhonda groveled in front of Felicity and clungto the latter's thigh.

“M-Mrs. Luther, what have I done wrong? Why are you so angry?”

Overwhelmed by her rage, Felicity slammed a kick into Rhonda as she hissed through gritted teeth,“What have you done wrong? You actually have the cheek to say that? Get the infirmary administratorin here!”

No sooner had she spoken than the administrator entered the living room.

“Mrs. Luther.”

Pointing her finger at Rhonda, Felicity thundered, “Tell her what she did wrong!”

“Yes, Mrs. Luther.”

The administrator retrieved a document from a folder before throwing it in front of Rhonda. Sheasserted coldly, “Ms. Rhonda, based on the maternity test results, you and Mr. Maxton are not

biologically related.”

Rhonda's mind went blank at the words.

Have I been exposed? Didn't that b*stard, Maxton, die from the venomous snake bite? Who was it thattold this old lady the truth? Who?

“No, Mrs. Luther, let me explain. You have to listen to me. I—”

Slap! Slap!

The crisp sounds reverberated through the room as Felicity interrupted her with another two slaps.

For making a fool out of her for seven years, Felicity was dying to tear Rhonda limb from limb.

“If you dare come close to me again, I'll have your legs broken.”

The words sent a shiver down Rhonda's spine.

After shifting her gaze away from Felicity, Rhonda turned to look at Gerald and Caridee.

“Caridee! Caridee, please talk to your mother on my behalf. I was forced to do it. I...”

With a smirk on her face, Caridee stepped forward and flung a whole stack of documents in Rhonda'sface.

“Take a good look at what you've done. You have not only tried to harm Max repeatedly but alsoGranddad. A devious person like you deserves to go to prison.”

The revelation caused Felicity to explode.

“If it wasn't because my grandson was lucky, he would've died in your hands. Rhonda, you should stophoping that the Luther family will show you any mercy. I'm going to make sure that you're locked up andthe key is thrown away!” novelbin

Rhonda's face lost all color abruptly.

No... No! I can't go to prison. I don't want to spend the rest of my days in a dank dungeon, for I am Mrs.Luther, the most distinguished woman in the world. Nobody can lay a finger on me!

“Fine, expose me then. Once the public hears that the recently married Mrs. Luther is a wicked ladywho's responsible for countless misdeeds, the Luther family's reputation will be ruined.”

“You...” Pointing at Rhonda, Felicity was rendered speechless by her rage.

Subsequently, Gerald walked up to his wife to assuage her anger as he asked, “Go on, tell us whereyou got Max from. Who is his biological mother?”

Rhonda burst into hysterical laughter.

“His real mother is dead. Do you hear me? Dead! After giving birth to that b*stard, she was killed in anavalanche!”

“Rhonda,” Caridee snapped, “even at this crucial period, you show no fear at all. Do you really think wewon't dare send you to prison?”

“Hmph, go on then. I challenge you. In fact, I can't wait to see the Luther family name be draggedthrough the mud as you become the laughingstock of high society.”

“You...” Overwhelmed by her anger, Felicity—unable to catch her breath—fainted on the spot.

Carrying Felicity in his arms, Gerald instructed Caridee to call Artemis back to deal with Rhonda. Afterthat, he went upstairs with the family doctor following closely behind.

Once her parents were gone, Caridee gave the devastated Rhonda a look of disdain as she sneered,“Justice will come for you, Rhonda. After all the sins you have committed, judgment is now upon you.Don't think that we're not aware of who you took Max from. Based on what I know, you gave birth onthe same day as your sister. Her eldest son inexplicably died while you happened to have given birth toa son. If my guess is correct, Max is Bailey's child.”

A murderous glint flashed across Rhonda's eyes.

Caridee, sooner or later, I'll make you pay for your backstabbing with your blood!

Meanwhile, inside the bedroom within the medical base, Bailey woke up to be greeted by daylight.

Feeling groggy still, she took a while to regain her senses. When she finally did, a smile graduallybroke out on her face.

My child is still alive! The death of my son caused me seven years of anguish and left a painful scar

that I thought would hurt me for the rest of my life. But now... destiny has truly been good to me. Moreimportantly, the children's real father is Artemis. It's really Artemis!

With that thought in mind, she couldn't help but smile wider.

This is wonderful!

“Look at that broad smile of yours. What are you thinking about?”

The door was pushed open, and in walked Artemis.

Greeted by the sight of her gleeful expression, he couldn't help but raise his brow when he, too, wasinfected by her joy.
