Chapter 227

Aurora Club was the biggest nightclub in Hallsbay, bedecked with neon lights, boozes, and hedonisticexistences. That decadent place was infested with endless trading involving bodily pleasures.

He wants me to go to Aurora Club. I can't believe he's asking me to go to a nightclub.

Victoria felt desolate as she took in the luxurious and elegant interior design.

Ultimately, she had been the only one holding on to the wishful thinking.

The loving, understanding, and caring young man who used to hold her gently in his arms had longdisappeared with time and was nowhere to be found anymore.

Victoria knew Lionel's revenge was just about to start, but little did she anticipate his desire to humiliateher so thoroughly.

Lionel, I suppose your goal for spending so much effort into this scheme is to force me to concede, right? Well, you've won.

Meanwhile, inside the Saunders residence, Vincent, seemingly in poor health, shut his eyes and leanedback on the couch as if he was taking a short rest.

“Mr. Saunders, Sean called earlier and informed me that Ms. Victoria went to Aurora Club. I think Mr.Lionel had invited her over.”

Upon hearing that, Vincent opened his eyes at once, staggered to his feet, and bellowed, “What is thatbrat trying to do? Did he ask my daughter to go to the nightclub to put her to shame?”

With that, he immediately strode toward the door of the living room with the help of his walking stick.

At that sight, the butler hurriedly halted Vincent and said anxiously, “Mr. Saunders, Mr. Lionel loathesyou. Your presence there will only provoke his anger and flame his desire to torment Ms. Victoria inworse ways. Since this is an unavoidable entanglement between them, you should just let Ms. Victoriado as she sees fit.”

Vincent's legs turned to jelly, stumbling a few steps backward, and fell back onto the couch.

“This is truly an ill-fated relationship. Still, I can't just sit back and watch my daughter suffer thishumiliation. Call Ms. Bailey and beg her to make a trip to Aurora Club.”

A conflicted expression spread across the old butler's face. “But Ms. Jefferson already said she wouldnot interfere in Ms. Victoria's matter anymore and that Ms. Victoria should make her own decisionsnow.”

Vincent closed his eyes while wearing a grimace. The signs of old age had etched themselves on hismature face. Before those misfortunes befell the Saunders family, Vincent did not appear as ancientand frail, but at that moment, he seemed more vulnerable than ever.

“Don't worry, Mr. Saunders. I've thought of someone who can rescue Ms. Victoria from thatpredicament. Please wait here while I contact him at once.”

With that, the butler dashed out of the living room without turning back.

Tears streamed down Vincent's face as he took in the spacious yet empty living room.

At the same time, at Aurora Club's parking lot, Victoria was brought before a Rolls-Royce by twobodyguards in black outfits.

As one of the bodyguards opened the car door, Victoria noticed the interior was pitch black.

“Ms. Saunders, Mr. Gezmond has invited you to join him inside the car.”

Victoria bit her lip.

She had been asking around about Lionel's whereabouts recently, yet she failed to find anyinformation. At that moment, he was right in front of her. She could finally meet with him if she tookanother step forward, but uneasiness filled her chest.

There was a voice in Victoria's heart, continuously reminding her that once she took that step forward, she would be venturing into an endless hell with no way out.

“This way, Ms. Saunders.”

The bodyguard's voice pulled her back to her senses.

After scanning her surroundings and taking in the deserted parking lot, she smiled bitterly and got intothe car.

Victoria could vaguely see a slender figure leaning back lazily in the seat while gently swaying a glassof red wine in his hand in the dimly lit environment.

She could not be more familiar with that man's figure as it had appeared countless times in her dreams, and his appearance had been carved into her body and soul.

“L-Lionel.”

Hidden behind the curtain of darkness, Lionel seemed to have grinned as he curled his thin lips into asinister smile.

“I thought you'd be too ashamed to show yourself in front of me again. It seems like I haveunderestimated your shamelessness.”

He was able to utterly destroy her calm pretense by saying those words.

Victoria felt highly self-conscious, as if she was being stripped naked and exhibited in front of Lionel.

He knows me too well, so he's capable of hurting me in the most straightforward and ruthless manner.

“I'm sorry for disappointing you, but I cannot stand by and watch because this matter is related to myfather and brother. Mr. Gezmond, let's discuss your conditions. What should I do to make you withdrawthe lawsuit or for you to be willing to surrender the culprit who instigated my brother into manipulatingthe stock market.”

Lionel sneered. “Aren't you being too casual? You sound so righteous even when you're beggingsomeone else. Victoria, you're so arrogant and so wonderful at the same time. Your extraordinaryqualities truly entice one's desire to ravage you.”

With that, he suddenly leaned forward, pinched her pointy chin forcefully, and enunciated, “I deeplyregretted not sleeping with you in the past. That was such a waste. I should have treated myself betterby playing with you to my heart's content before you betrayed me, no?”

Colors drained from Victoria's face instantaneously.

“But that's not needed now. I have a graceful and gorgeous wife who is much purer than you. Youintend to save your brother, right? That's not a problem. All you have to do is keep a few of my clientscompany and make sure to please them. Once they agree to sign the contract with me to retrieveFashionista's loss, I will let your brother off the hook. Otherwise, you and your entire family can wait forme to take revenge on you all.” novelbin

After saying that, he pushed her aside. “Room number 203. Go there on your own. Remember, youmust make sure to please them.”

Ashen-faced, Victoria stared at Lionel in a daze as if her soul had left her body.

She was under the assumption that he would personally torment her, making her his mistress, hisplaything, or even his personal property, but she did not expect him to gift her to other men.

“I only wish to repay the debt I owe you to you. Lionel, you can hit, torture, or even kill me, but youcannot gift me to somebody else like I'm an object.”

“Oh?” Lionel arched his brows and regarded her with a contemptuous expression. “Are you saying youare only willing to let me sleep with you? Well, I'm sorry. I have a wife, and my wife has given birth tomy son. We registered our marriage in Illurasia, and I vowed never to betray her. At the very least, I donot plan to cheat on her. Besides, I disdain your tarnished body. I fear you'll infect me with your

depravity.”

Victoria's body shuddered greatly as if she was on the verge of collapsing. “If I agree to yoursuggestion, does that mean our scores will be settled? Will you leave my family alone and never crosspaths with us again?”

He tilted his head back and downed the red wine.

Instead of responding to her question, Lionel shifted his gaze and looked outside the window, seemingly at the limits of his patience.

A wry smile spread across her face. “Okay, I got it. After tonight, I will owe you nothing.”

With that, she got out of the vehicle.

Lionel slowly turned his head around, gazing at her leaving figure from behind until she disappearedinto the elevator.

Never cross paths again? Very well!

Silence filled the air inside the car for a few moments before the middle-aged man sitting in thepassenger seat spoke. He asked hesitantly, “Mr. Gezmond, are you really going to let Ms. Victoriaentertain those clients? Those people are nightclub veterans. They are infamous for their never-endingmethods of toying with women, and some even have perverted kinks. Not to mention, Ms. Victoriaoffended them in the past, so they will undoubtedly show her no mercy.”

Lionel looked away and replied calmly, “I returned to Hallsbay this time to put an end to the grudges

established seven years ago. I can only vent my pent-up resentment and fury with this method. Thetwo of us will never cross paths again after tonight. I suppose this is not a bad outcome.”

He could only resort to such a cruel method to force himself to part ways with his past.
