Chapter 783

Since Rachel's return, he had asked her for useful information whenever they met.

It was as if he treated Rachel as a tool for use.

"Commander, I've heard everything.

"Congratulations on finally getting together with Willow."

With a big smile, Rachel raised her coffee cup at Sean.

However, the smile on her lips was slightly bitter.

Sean nodded slightly and sighed to himself.

He knew nothing about relationships, but that did not mean he did not feel Rachel's feelings for him.

Besides, the night Sean was kicked out of the Quinn family, Rachel went to Sean's place and confessed her feelings for him.

Her love for Sean was apparent in every word.

Sean was not an idiot. How could he not sense it?

However, he only had eyes for Willow, who had taken care of him.

"Thank you."

Sean thanked her softly.

"You've recovered.

"Have you thought about when you're going back?

"I think I can be of some help to you."

Rachel paused for a few seconds before asking the question.

Sean twiddled his fingers over the coffee cup as he considered the question.

He was going back, of course.

It was not like him to abandon revenge.

Blaze gave him so much trouble and killed so many of his comrades.

It was something no man could swallow.

Blood debts must be paid in blood.

"After I've taken care of everything in River City, I'll start preparing for that. "Once I got back what I've lost, you can return to be an

intelligence agent." Sean spun his coffee cup and looked at Rachel as he spoke earnestly.

"Okay!"

Rachel nodded earnestly.

She was willing to re-enlist if Sean returned.

Not only her but countless others who had applied for discharge in the past two years would re-enlist in a heartbeat if they heard of Sean's

return.

"I've come to say goodbye to you today.

"I want to travel and relax."

Rachel was silent for a moment before chuckling suddenly.

"Okay."

Sean nodded and replied.

"Commander, do you have anything... Do you have any orders for me?"

Rachel looked at the man she had liked for years and felt terrible.

"Be safe."

Sean moved his mouth and only said two words in the end.

"Roger!"

Rachel rose slowly with tears flickering gently in her eyes.

Sean and Willow had gotten together.

Willow even fell out with the Quinn family for Sean.

It never occurred to Rachel that the man she had fancied for years was her best friend's fiance.

It was something she could not accept but had to.

The only thing she could do was silently give them their blessing and choose to leave.

Sean did not see Rachel off. He remained in his seat for five minutes.

He raised his coffee and finished it once it had cooled.

Sean walked out of the cafe, looked up to the northwest, and muttered to himself.

"Blaze Lake, it's your turn after the Zimmer family.

"Enjoy your last moment of peace."

At the same time.

Zimmer Corporation chairman's office.

Jon's face was grim as he looked at the pile of reports in front of him with a murderous look.

Someone seemed to have slammed on the pause button for everything that had been going smoothly, and no further progress was allowed.

The formalities were stuck in place, while submitted files were rejected.

In short, the formalities that needed to be dealt with before construction were stuck for various reasons.

Swoosh!

Jon immediately grabbed a pile of papers in front of him and slammed them onto the floor.

"B*stard, are we not giving enough money?

"Do they have such a big appetite?

"Or are they ignoring Mr. Yeast's orders?

"Did Reach For Will Group find another strong backer?"

Jon slammed his hands on the table and yelled at the assistant in front of him.

The assistant was so shaken with fear that they dared not speak.

Jon was no fool. He could tell at a glance that the authorities were deliberately giving them a hard time.

Jason had already talked to them earlier, so the formalities had gone so smoothly.

However, there was a problem with the formalities again after Jason talked to them.

What did that mean?

It meant there was a force Jon did not know about that was challenging them!

It was even stronger than Jason.

Jon suppressed his anger, found Jason's number, and called.

"Mr. Yeast, I've run into trouble on my end."

Jon did not beat around the bush and went straight to the point.

Jason had helped so many times that it had become a habit.

Habits would change a person's mindset.

Jon thought Jason was obligated to help them after he had helped him many times.

"I will be leaving River City soon for another mission.

"If you want anything, tell me now."

Jason was silent for two seconds before asking.

Jon was stunned for a moment before quickly telling him everything about the formalities being stuck.novelbin

"I will inquire about it."

Jason nodded and fobbed him off.

Jon would never have guessed that Jason was no longer the Zimmer family's backer and protector.

Instead, he had become Sean's subordinate.

"Old Zimmer, despite everything, we're relatives.

"I want to give you a word of advice."

Jason suddenly said before hanging up.

"What is it?"

Jon frowned slightly at that.

"Pack up and get out of River City.

"Move to another city and make a living there."

Jason's tone was serious. He was not joking at all.
