side of the man, their eyes constantly scanning around as if they were on guard against possible
enemies.
On the couch opposite the man sat an old man with white hair and a white beard.
If other people were present, they would recognize the man and the old man at a glance.
They were Curtis-the heir of the famous Lake family in Ocean City, and Christopher-the head of the
Tatum family, who was wiped out by a fire not long ago.
