Chapter 2005

"Really?"

The woman with a ponytail looked at the man in surprise.

The man with a buzzcut smugly hugged the woman with the twin-tails hairstyle and said, "I'm not that

great. My family only has some money... My family is in the building materials wholesale business, and

my dad is the company chairman."

"I see!"

"That's amazing!"

The woman with a ponytail and the woman with a bob haircut looked at the man with a buzzcut in

shock before looking enviously at the woman with the twin-tails hairstyle holding his arm.

The other man complimented the class rep by saying," Everyone in class knows this. How can you not

know? Have you never heard about it?"

"We're busy preparing for the postgraduate entrance exams... " The woman with a ponytail said

sheepishly.

"We're only freshmen. What postgraduate entrance exams? It’s still too early for that!"

The man said with a smile.

Then he looked at Lyla, who was quiet. Seeing her calm expression, he asked, "Lyla, aren't you

surprised that our class rep is the son of the chairman of a large company?"

"Oh, I'm surprised.

Lyla said with a nod.

She said she was surprised, but there was no surprise on Lyla's face.

It was natural. Sean was the owner of East World Hotel and drove a Maserati worth several million

dollars. Besides that, he spent hundreds of thousands of dollars a night when he went to White Rose

Nightclub.

Lyla had seen such a big shot and such a spectacle before. Besides that, she was personally close to

Sean. The chairman of a building materials company would not impress her, of course.

"Why are you like this? Do you know the other students dislike talking to you because of your

behavior? We invited you to join us for a meal because we find you lonely and pathetic. Show some

respect, alright?"

The man snapped.

Lyla glanced at him and said, "Winston, Leon is the son of the chairman, not you. He didn't even say

anything about that. Why do you think you're that great?"

"You..."

Winston Hasting glared at Lyla and was about to scold her.

However, Leon Lennox raised his hand to stop him and said with a hearty laugh, "Winston, enough

talking. Lyla must have met a lot of big shots while working part-time off campus. That's why she's not

surprised by my identity.

Besides, I'm not an heir."

"I just can't stand to see her so smug. She's only a hostess..."novelbin

"Alright, that's enough."

Leon stopped Winston from saying what he wanted to say next. Then he reached out and hailed two

taxis.

"Lyla, sit with us. Winston, sit with the girls."

Leon said.

Then, Lyla followed Leon and his girlfriend in the first taxi, while the woman with a ponytail and the

woman with a bob haircut sat in the other taxi with Winston.

They reached Sky Restaurant ten minutes later.

Business at Sky Restaurant was booming. Perhaps because it was the middle of the week, but there

were still private rooms available.

Leon asked for a private room, and the waiter led them into one. Leon also sat in the main seat.

Lyla was about to take the seat farthest from him when Leon smiled and waved to her. "Lyla, come and

sit beside me."

"No thanks. I'll just sit here, or your girlfriend will get jealous."

Lyla joked, declining Leon's invitation.

Leon's girlfriend grabbed Leon's and said coquettishly, "Lyla, you're overthinking. How would I be

jealous of you? You're my best friend, and I trust you!"
