Chapter 2001

Chapter 2001novelbin

Sean drove to Midwich police station.

There were not many people in the police station. After all, it was not every day that someone came to

the police station to report a crime.

Most police officers were looking at their phones or playing on the computer at their workstations. The

police officers in charge of reception in the lobby were also idle.

Just after Sean entered the police station lobby, a police officer who was smoking approached and

asked, "Hello, how can I help you?"

"I'm here to see your chief, Gabe."

Sean answered directly.

The police officer's expression changed slightly when he heard Gabe’s name.

He looked Sean up and down in shock as if to figure out Sean's identity.

It was because people always addressed Gabe as "Chief Police Wholeton" whenever they came to the

police station to see him. For example, "I have something to talk to Chief Police Wholeton about" or

"Chief Police Wholeton invited me here." However, Sean surprised the police officer by calling Gabe by

his first name.

"May I ask who you are..."

The police officer looked at Sean hesitantly.

He could not help it. Sean's outfit was too ordinary.

He wore a plain shirt and black pants, and the shoes he wore were not designer.

His outfit was common. His entire outfit could be bought for under 200 dollars.

Thus, he did not look like a big deal no matter what, at least not on Gabe's level.

"My name is Sean Lennon. Your chief police, Gabe Wholeton, used to be my subordinate.”

'Subordinate?' the police officer thought.

The police officer was shocked, and his expression was awestruck.

"I see... Okay, just a moment, please. I'll get the chief of police."

As soon as he said that, the police officer hurried to Gabe's office.

Within two minutes, Gabe followed quickly behind the police officer.

"That’ll be all. Go about your business."

Gabe sent the police officer away and happily invited Sean to his office.

However, Sean declined.

He did not come here to smoke a cigarette, drink coffee, or chit-chat with Gabe; he had business to do.

"Have you finished interrogating the four guys you brought in?"

"Not yet. They're still being interrogated."

Gabe answered quickly.

"Take me to them. I want to know who they are and why they keep bothering me. I suspect they're from

White Group."

Sean said to Gabe.

Gabe's expression suddenly turned sour when Sean brought up White Group.

White Group was the largest gang in Midwich. They collected protection fees ten years ago. However,

they stopped collecting protection fees as times changed. Instead, they took advantage of the large

number of people they had and did business.

Gabe had told Sean earlier that White Group had formed a logistics company called White Logistics.

They had many lackeys, so the logistics industry was suitable forthem.

However, just because White Group started a business, it did not mean they were no longer a gang.

If they ran into conflict with other companies or people, the White Group would utilize some violent

means.

Sean was not worried, but he had to worry about the people around him, so he wanted to take

advantage of his time in Midwich to bring down White Group. Even if he could not completely break up

White Group, he wanted to defang White Group and stop them from committing crimes!

Sean and Gabe looked into the interrogation room through a two-way mirror from outside.
