Chapter 1992

Chapter 1992

Lyla moaned with a pained expression. "Gently... You're hurting me... Damn! Is this your car?"

Halfway through her speech, Lyla noticed the Maserati parked in front of White Rose gate.

"Cut the crap and get in the car."

Sean ordered coldly.

Lyla dared not speak anymore. She quickly got into the car and sat in the back with Sean.

Zander got in the driver's seat and drove.

On the way back to East World Hotel, Sean hit Lyla on the head without saying a word.

"Why did you hit me..."

Lyla asked aggrievedly with her hands over her head.

"Do you still feel aggrieved? I'd like to slap you to death... I warned you last time not to work in thenovelbin

nightclub anymore. Why didn't you take my advice? Since you didn't take my advice, you're on your

own if anything happens. So why did you text me for help? Can't you have some self-awareness?"

Sean's furious scolding brought Lyla to tears.

Lyla rubbed her eyes and said tearfully, "What can I do? If I could handle it myself, would I have asked

you for help... Besides, you've helped me out. Is it necessary to scold me

now..."

Sean rolled down the car window and took a deep breath.

The cool night air crept into the car and blew on his face, finally calming him down.

Sean had not been as angry as he was tonight in a long time.

However, it seemed refreshing to have an outburst like this once in a while.

He had always been calm like a robot and would eventually get numb.

"I'm broke. Would I be working as a hostess if I were as rich as you? Do you think it's fun to entertain

those middle-aged men? I want to throw up when I see them, okay?"

Lyla rubbed her eyes as she defended herself.

"Being broke isn’t an excuse to become a hostess. You just want to make easy money... Don't argue

with me. Many college students are working as waiters and cleaners, but you became a hostess. How

dare you argue with me about this?"

Sean said icily.

Lyla was instantly speechless.

"Got it... You've made me quit anyway. I will never go to

White Rose again."

Lyla wiped away her tears and said as she lowered her head.

"You've made enough money to get through four years of college and still have a lot left over. Live a

normal college life from now on and don't make any more trouble. Got it?" Sean said earnestly.

"Yeah."

Lyla nodded vigorously.

They arrived at East World Hotel.

Sean asked Cheryl to set Lyla up in a room next to the one Sean and Zander were in.

Rooms on the same floor were the most luxurious presidential suite, of course.

Lyla had never stayed in such a luxurious hotel room, and her grievances and anger were all gone as

she rolled excitedly on the big bed.

"Wash up and go back to school tomorrow morning," Sean said and prepared to leave.

Just then, Lyla clutched her stomach and screamed.

"What's wrong?"

Sean asked with a frown.

"It's probably a stomach problem... I drink a lot with my customers every day. I went to the hospital a

few days ago, and the doctor said I have stomach bleeding."

With a pained expression, Lyla explained with great difficulty.

Sean instantly got nervous and rushed over to Lyla. He grabbed her hand and felt her pulse.

Sean's expression gradually became confused.
