without holding back
Sherman was instantly awestruck and looked at Sean with some admiration.
After a long time, the 30 medical books were finished being photocopied.
Zander helped bind the books and had Sherman check them to ensure they were correct before
leaving with the 30 medical books.
"Mr. Lennon, thank you for this anyway. You're a friend of the Yale family from now on. If you ever get
into trouble in Midwich, just come to me. I won't stand idly by," Sherman said earnestly to Sean.
It was the benefit Sean got from not pushing the Yale family too hard at auction and backing down.
Though it was unknown whether gaining the friendship of an influential family would be useful in the
future, it was better than gaining an enemy.
"Yeah, got it." Sean nodded with a smile.
Sherman pushed the suitcase up to Sean and said, "Would you like to count the five million in cash?"
"No, I trust you and the Yale family," Sean said with a smile.
With a big smile, Sherman nodded and said, "You're a nice guy. It looks like we could be friends...
Alright, I gotta go if there's nothing else."
"Yeah, take care," Sean said politely.
Sherman carried the 30 medical books to the chairman's office door. He seemed to recall something
and stopped to look back at Sean when he almost reached the door.
"Mr. Lennon, you've offended the Sheldon family and the Jensen family at the auction. Especially the
Jensen family. So the Jensen family probably won't let that insult go that easily. Besides, the Jensen
family is closely related to White Group. You'd better be careful."
Sherman's warning did not faze Sean, but Sean was now genuinely interested in White Group.
Sean had learned some things about White Group from Gabe before. Sherman also mentioned Whitenovelbin
Group. Even though White Group seemed to be no match for the top four families, it was still influential
in Midwich.
"Thanks for the warning. I'll be careful," Sean said with a nod.
Then Sherman finally left. After exiting East World Hotel, he got into his Ferrari and drove off.
Sean had Zander deposit four million dollars in the bank, leaving one million dollars for daily use.
There was nothing particularly important after that, and there were no problems in East World Hotel's
operation. Therefore, the chairman of East World Hotel, Sean, stayed in his hotel suite reading the 30
medical books by Dr. Humphrey.
As time passed, Sean finished reading 30 medical books and did in-depth research. He could sense he
had learned a lot from it, and he finally figured out many medical theories that he could not understand
earlier. Unfortunately, he did not have a patient on hand, with who he could experiment on.
"Zander, come on. Let's go for a walk," Sean said as he got up from the couch.
Zander was instantly overjoyed to hear this. After all, a week or so had passed since Sherman left, and
they hardly had visitors besides Gabe, Derrick, and Benji.
Sean and Zander had also stayed in the room the entire week.
