Chapter 1220

The young man ran over and turned to look at Tyga’s men and the developer’s staff.

“F*ck off!

“If word of this got out, you’ll bear the consequences yourself.”

The man said, and the crowd shuddered before nodding repeatedly.

Soon more than half of the crowd left.

The only ones left were Sean, government officials like Mr. Evans, and the rest.

“He killed Tyga, sir.

“And now he wants to kill me.”

Mr. Evans pointed at Sean with a sneer.

“He wants to kill you?”

The man asked with a frown.

“Yes!

“How should we convict him?”

Mr. Evans chuckled, his face smug.

“If he wants to cut you, why don’t you clean your neck and stretch it for him?”

Mr. Evans and the rest froze as soon as the man said that.”

“What did that mean?

Is he asking Mr. Evans to offer himself?

‘Is he serious?‘

What happened next surprised them.

The man stepped forward and looked at Sean.

“Co… Brother Sean!”

The man shouted, shocking everyone.

The man’s status was above that of Mr. Evans and the rest.

However, they did not expect him to respectfully call Sean “Brother” as soon as he saw him.

“Ray?”

Zander raised his eyebrows slightly and mentioned a name as he looked at the man.

“Brother Zander, it’s me…”

The man nodded and answered.

His name was Ray Simmons, and he was once a member of the personal guards.

Zander even saw him off when he was discharged.

However, they never expected him to end up doing this after leaving the army.

“Gulp.”

Mr. Evans gulped, his eyes widening.

‘Are Sean and the others Ray’s friends?

‘No wonder they were so confident!‘

“Are you a part of this?”

Sean asked indifferently, looking at Ray.

Ray was silent for two seconds before nodding and replying in acknowledgment again.

Sean asked if he was involved, not how much he was involved.

He could only answer truthfully.

He did not have the guts to lie to Sean.

“You held the candle to the devil and bullied civilians, even your former comrade.

“You really did a good job.”

Ray’s head buzzed when Sean spoke.

His mouth moved to explain, but he did not know how.

“I’ll give you two minutes to explain.”

Sean slowly covered the sword with the cloth.

“Brother Sean, I have no choice…”

Ray was silent for a long pause before finally speaking.

Because he knew Sean was not asking for an explanation but confirming his attitude on the matter.

The outside world was unlike the army.

Everyone in the army would share food from the same pot. They would not fight over money. All they

had was their comradeship.

Food, clothing, shelter, and transportation were all provided by Dragon Kingdom.

However, you could not escape money if you wanted to survive the outside world.

It was a long story.

Sean glanced intently at Ray and eventually said nothing more.

After all, this was not the army.

He was no longer a nine–star commander.

He was helpless in many things too.

“They’re Patrick’s family.

“Do you know that?”

Sean asked indifferently, pointing to Sally and the rest.

“What?”

Ray instantly turned to look at Sally and her family.

He had no idea.novelbin

After all, there were so many residents around here, and he was not responsible for the development.

He only assisted the developer. He did not know the residents‘ information.

However, he had nothing to say in defense.

As a former comrade, he failed to take care of Patrick’s family, so it was his fault.

“Aunt Connie, just tell me any requests you have, and I’ll talk to the developer.”

Ray stepped forward and asked Connie.

Connie and Sally were nervous. They dared not ask Ray for anything.

It was not until they saw the look in Sean’s eyes that they mustered the courage.

“We just want to be compensated according to normal standards.

“And Patrick’s grave…”

Connie slowly turned her head to look at Patrick’s grave.

“I see.

“Leave it all to me.”

Ray nodded. These things were not difficult for him.

“I’ll take them away first.

“You know what to do.”

With that said, Sean, Sally, and her family prepared to leave.

“Brother Sean, this is my contact information. Call me if you need anything.”

Ray hurried forward and gave Sean his phone number.

“Okay.

Sean answered and led his men away, with everyone watching.

Connie and Sally were still dumbfounded.

‘Are they gone just like that?

‘Doesn’t Sean have to take any responsibility for the murder?‘
