Chapter 1206

Then a name slowly came to his mind.

Patrick Jenkins.

He was the deputy leader of the personal guards who were loyal to Sean.

He was Sean’s right–hand man, just like Zander.

He was brave and a good fighter, making great accomplishments at a young age.

Patrick would have had a bright future in the army if nothing went wrong.

However, he died in vain a year ago under Blaze’s wrong command.

“Commander…”

Zander took a deep breath and turned to look at Sean.

“Patrick’s gone?”

Sean asked solemnly after two seconds of silence.

“Patrick has been trying to get justice for you since you left.

“Blaze hates him because of it.

“He ordered Patrick to take the lead for any dangerous task.”

With that said, Zander clenched his fist, his heart filled with anger.

Patrick’s loyalty to Sean was no less than Zander’s.

Because of this, many people wanted justice for Sean after what happened to him, and Patrick was the

most outspoken among them.

Zander tried to dissuade Patrick, but Patrick rebuffed him..

Zander could not tell him the truth, and he could only bear the shame and pretend to comply with

Blaze. Blaze was not going to let the discontent Patrick do whatever her wanted.

Therefore, Zander suspected Blaze was involved in Patrick’s death.

Of course, Blaze was related to the deaths of so many comrades since Sean left.

Sean said nothing but made another mental note to hold Blaze accountable for another death he had

done.

By the time he returned to the Northwest, he would list down everything and make Blaze pay double.

“Commander, Brother Patrick had few relatives.

“I must help them.

“I’ll join you in the afternoon.”

Jeffrey looked at Sean and said quietly.

“Let’s go together.”

Sean turned his head and said as he looked in the distance.

“Well…”

Jeffrey was stunned.

Sean had a high status in his heart.

It was so high that he could only look up to him.

Therefore, he thought Sean should not pay attention to such things.

“Just do whatever he says.”

Zander added.

“Yes!”

Jeffrey answered and said no more.

The night passed quietly.

The next day, Joules Town’s northern suburb.

Leefield Springs Town had countless small villages.

Patrick’s hometown was within this area.

When they arrived, Sean, Zander, and Jeffrey saw iron walls built around many places.

It seemed that this area was in for a major development.

Many villages had been demolished.

Only a few villages remained, awaiting demolition.

Tree leaves fluttered in the air at the hillside behind a villager’s house.

A grey–haired old woman, a woman in her 20s, and a child of four or five years old were standing

there. There was a tombstone and flowers in front of them.

A photo of a young man dressed in an army uniform was in front of the tombstone. He had goodnovelbin

features and good looks.

Zander would have recognized Patrick instantly.

He used to be Sean’s right–hand man and was equal to Zander in ranking.

The old woman was Patrick’s mother, Connie Lakerson, and the young woman was his wife, Sally

Hann.

The little girl, four or five years old, was Patrick’s daughter.

All three were Patrick’s family.

They were the only family he had left in this world.

They were orphaned and widowed, and no men were left in the family. No one in the village respected

them.

Connie and Sally were crying in silence and agony as they looked at the tombstone.

Even the little girl remained silent with red eyes.

“Baby, remember that your father is a great hero!

“He sacrificed everything to protect the country and people.”

Sally held the little girl and stood in front of the tombstone.

She was only four or five years old. Perhaps she did not understand what it meant to be a hero, protect

the country, or even death.

However, when she played with the other children in the village, she could hear from others that her

father was never coming back.

However, she had no complaints.

Since she was little, Sally had told her that Patrick did not abandon them. Instead, he had sacrificed

everything to defend the country, including his life.

Her family should be proud..

“F*ck! I wonder why you’re not home. It turns out you’re all here.”

Just then, a group of seven or eight people came over, swearing.

They were young men with bleached blonde hair and looked like thugs.

Swoosh!

The little girl immediately ran into Sally’s arms, her eyes terrified.

“Hey, lady. How much longer are you going to drag this out?

“Hurry and sign the contract. Wouldn’t it be great to take the demolition compensation and live a good

life?”

The leading young man held out a contract and looked at Connie with a frown.

“My son’s here. I’m not leaving.”

Connie wiped her eyes and said quietly.

“F*ck! Do you want the hard way?

“Do you realize that you are obstructing the development of Joules Town?

“We’ll capture all of you if you annoy us!”

The young man looked at Connie and replied forcefully.

“We can leave, but the demolition compensation is too little.

“We can’t even afford a spot in the cemetery.

“What am I going to do with my husband?”

Sally bit her lips and said as she looked at the crowd.

It was not that she loved money. If she was that money–minded, she would have married someone

else.

However, they had to look for a new place to live once their old house was demolished.

In Joules Town, a cemetery lot cost as much as a down payment on a house.

They only offered them a mere two hundred thousand dollars in compensation, which was nowhere

near enough.

“How dare you?

“Isn’t it good enough that living people like you have somewhere to stay?

“He’s already dead. We’ll flatten this place. You can keep a photo at home and call it a day.”

The young man curled his lip, his face full of impatience.

“No!”

Sally gritted her teeth, wanting to put up a fight.

“Haha, it’s not up to you!

“Get them. Demolish the grave now!”

The young man pointed to Patrick’s grave and called to his men.

The young men behind him immediately took out shovels to start working.

Beep beep! Beep!

Just then, a car quickly appeared from afar.
