Chapter 1167

Willow slowly took her phone back.

She loved how Sean took over the conversation.

Jane’s mouth opened but said nothing.

“You! You!”

Jane said “You” a couple of times and suddenly slammed her phone on the desk.

It was loud, especially in this quiet restaurant.

Many diners and waiters turned their heads to look this way.

“What do you mean? What blood? Who are you scaring?”

Jane shouted through gritted teeth, not wanting to admit defeat.

“I only want to tell you that the fancy restaurants you visit and the designer bags you use are worthless

to me.”

Sean reached over and tapped on the table with disdain in his eyes.

“Haha. Worthless? It’s the first time I’ve ever seen someone talk about poverty with such confidence.

“You can’t afford what you say is worthless!”

Jane lost her temper and lost her mind as she spoke louder.

“I don’t know the lives of the people are at the bottom of society, of course.

“And I don’t need those experiences because we don’t belong to the same class. So your so–called

experience is nothing to me.”

Jane’s words upset some of the customers and waiters in the restaurant.

Especially the waiters, who were only ordinary workers. They were considered service staff at the

bottom of society.

Jane’s high and mighty attitude upset them.

“Miss, please keep your voice down…”

A waiter came over and said politely.

“Shut up! What does this have to do with you?”

Jane’s outburst scared the waiter so much that they lowered their head slightly and apologized

profusely.

“Jane, why have you become this way?”

Willow frowned too. She could not believe how snobbish her friend had become.

“What have I become? Am I wrong?

“I don’t need to see you lowlifes‘ lives because I don’t care. Got it?

“But you should at least know that lowlifes belong where lowlifes belong, Sean.

“Why do you have to humiliate yourself in such a high–class place?”

Jane pointed at Sean, her face full of scorn.

“Humiliate myself?”

Sean looked up at Jane.novelbin

“At least I know you can’t order maximum well steak in a restaurant.

“You’re used to eating maximum well beef, aren’t you?

“You even wanted to call the waiter over to order. How ridiculous.”

Jane sneered again as she spoke.

“No one with half a brain will say that.

“Waiter, do you take orders manually here?”

Sean withdrew his gaze and looked at the waiter.

“Yes, sir.”

The waiter immediately nodded.

“Can you make me an 80% well steak?”

Sean asked again without looking away.

“Of course.”

The waiter nodded again.

“Do it.”

Sean spoke.

“Yes! Just a moment.”

The waiter turned around and left.

Jane stared blankly, her face turning red.

“Who says you have to have your steak medium rare?

“Do you really think you’re sophisticated by knowing some dining etiquette?”

Sean put his hands on the table and crossed them slowly. His tone was playful.

Jane was speechless.

She thought that Sean, a man with no money and status, would feel inferior in such a place.

He dared not say anything even if she taunted him.

However, she did not expect Sean to retort without mercy.

He even left Jane speechless.

“You! Hmph! You’re just a bumpkin.

“You’re a lowlife! You’re unsophisticated!”

Jane gritted her teeth in silence for a few seconds before being unreasonable again.

Sean shook his head slightly. There was no need to stay here if they disagreed with each other.

“Jane, we’ll get going. We’ll get together again some other time.”

Willow trusted Sean unconditionally, of course.

She did not have to please anyone, and she would keep her distance from anyone that Sean thought

was unsuitable to be friends with.

“We’ve ordered our food. Are you trying to skip out on the bill?”

Jane gritted her teeth, feeling aggrieved.

“That’s not what I meant…”

Willow shook her head and tried to explain.

“That’s enough. I was only taunting him.

“I’m not wrong. He’s penniless anyway! It’s the truth!”
