Chapter 883

Chapter 883 Keeping A Wolf

“Alex, I heard there’s a nice amusement park in Jadeborough, and I think Stanley will love it. Do youwant to bring him there and have a look?” Stannis appeared at Alex’s hotel room once again andinquired enthusiastically.

“Daddy, can we go to the amusement park that Mr. Zita mentioned?” Stanley looked at Alexexpectantly.novelbin

Alex did not answer Stanley immediately. Instead, he placed a triangular block on a few building blocksto form a miniature house.

While gently rubbing Stanley’s head, Alex shot Stannis a meaningful look before returning his gaze toStanley. “Sure! Since we came here to play, it doesn’t make sense to just stay in the hotel room. Let’sgo to the amusement park that Mr. Zita recommends.”

Alex stood up and took hold of Stanley’s hand while calling out to Maggie, who was reading a book.Looking at Stannis, he said, “Stannis, please lead the way!”

“You can count on me!” Stannis replied eagerly. Immediately, he happily headed toward the basementto retrieve the car without realizing something was wrong with Alex.

Maggie approached Alex and asked puzzledly. “Don’t you have a good impression of Stannis? Why is itthat your expression was a bit off just now?”

With a smile, Alex replied, “People can change. At first, I thought he was a good guy as he was friendlytoward me without knowing who I was.”

Maggie looked at Alex with confused eyes as she tried to decipher his words.

Seeing Maggie’s confused look, Alex explained. “However, my perception changed when I heard himtalking briefly about the story of him and his girlfriend. I don’t despise people for taking shortcuts toachieve their ambition. But, I don’t like to be made use of and have others deliberately try to pleaseme.” There was something else that Alex did not mention. When he was lecturing Daphne in the housethat day, he was aware Stannis was standing outside eavesdropping on them.

If he could be so heartless toward his long-time girlfriend, he could easily turn his back on anyone.Keeping such a person close by was akin to keeping a wolf. Should the tide turn against it, it would nothesitate to bite its owner!

Maggie was not stupid; she quickly caught on to Alex’s concern. It was just that she did not give itmuch thought previously.

Nonetheless, Maggie and Alex were not too worried. They believed Stannis would not pose threat.

The thing bothering Alex the most now was the outdoor trip. He was not happy when Stannissuggested heading outdoors as he was worried about bumping into people from the Wallace family.

Fonzo had a special medicine that Alex could not create at his current level.

Given that Fonzo worked for the Wallace family, that meant there must be someone more powerful inthe family. Additionally, Alex had ruffled their feathers previously by using Hans’ phone to threatenJared.

Keeping A Wolf

The very reason why Alex chose not to leave town at this time was that he knew the Wallace familywould be able to locate him once he used his identification document to travel either by train or plane

Even if the probability of him getting caught that way was not high. Alex did not want to risk it. He hadto stay alive to protect his loved ones, which included Stanley, Maggie, Charlie, and his father

Just as the group left in Stannis car heading for the amusement park, a black Bentley pulled up at thehotel entrance.

Jared and Magnus alighted the car.
