Chapter 858

Chapter 858 Does Not Matter To Me

Alex then asked the man about the specific situation there, including the number of people and fighters.whether they had guns, and if any children were still alive.

Afraid of death, the man told Alex everything.

There were a total of twenty-three people in the basement. Like the man, five of them handled thetransportation of goods.

Ten people were tasked with hunting for suitable prey and bringing them to the basement. Two people.were in charge of guarding the captured victims.

Another five were fighters, eliminating those who discovered the place and came to make trouble.

Lastly, there was a person in charge of everything in that place, Hans Haberman. Of everyone, he wasthe only person with a gun.

Meanwhile, the five children captured that day already had their organs harvested. Their bodies hadbeen chopped into pieces before being discarded at the back mountain for the wolves.

When Alex heard that, his face went as black as thunder. He clenched his fists tightly, his bones pofrom the force of it.

At that sight, such terror struck the man that he peed his pants. Yellow liquid soaked the sheets, andstench permeated the room.

Wailing, he pleaded for Alex to spare his life. “I’ve answered all your questions honestly, sir! You prominot to kill me! Please let me go! I beg you!”

Snap!

Amidst his fearful pleas for his life. Alex lifted his hand and snapped the man’s neck, showing him no

mercy.

Then, he stated indifferently, “As I said, it doesn’t matter to me whether you live or die. I’ve neverpromised to spare you. If you hadn’t told me all that, your death wouldn’t have been so quick and easy.”

He did not spare the woman he had knocked out on the bed either, snapping her neck as well.

Although he had no idea whether she had done anything atrocious, she deserved to die for staying insuch a place and servicing the men without reporting the crime unfolding there.

Having a basic understanding of the basement, he was no longer worried. So long as not everyone hada gun, he could still handle things.

He swung the room door open. Coincidentally, two people were headed there to search the place.Streaking over to them at lightning speed, he quickly snapped their necks, one with each hand. Afterdoing that, he dragged them into the room he previously entered.

Since he had eliminated three people, it would mean that there were still twenty people in thebasement. It would be a waste of time to kill them one by one, so he went in search of Hans.

The matter would be much easier when he had subdued Hans, and he had learned of the latter’slocation during his interrogation of the man earlier.

When he reached the specific room, he pushed open the door, revealing four or five burly men in adiscussion.

At the sight of him, the eyes of the bald man seated in the middle widened. Pointing at Alex, he orderedthe others. “It’s the man who broke in! Quick, seize him!”

The bald man was none other than the most powerful individual in the basement, Hans.

“This is the man I told you about, Mr. Haberman. I didn’t expect him to be able to locate us,” a tall andthin man interjected, pointing at Alexnovelbin

He was the man who discovered Alex trespassing on Green Mountain Monastery previously. Initially,he merely wanted to go to the washroom. As such, he had no weapons on him. That aside, there wereother people, so he did not make a move but phoned Hans instead.

Hans found it unnecessary to eliminate Alex since the latter was not a child. He felt that it was no bigdeal even if the man were to come back, convinced that he would never find the basement in GreenMountain Monastery.

Never had it crossed their minds that the man actually found their lair. In that case, they could not lethim go anymore.

Giving the tall and thin man a swift kick, Hans snapped, “Why are you still standing around? Kill him!”
