Chapter 845

Chapter 845 Headbutting

As the allegedly divine monk ascended to the stage, Stannis eagerly tugged at Alex’s sleeve, saying.“You don’t believe it, right? Their performance is about to start. Once you’ve seen it, you’ll understand.

Alex bore no aversion to Stannis’ enthusiasm. Rather, it was the latter’s girlfriend, Daphne, who irkedhim with her aloof and disdainful demeanor.

“All right, I will watch carefully,” Alex responded with a smile.

The so-called divine monk bowed to the audience with his hands pressed together. Following him, three other bald monks stood in line, each holding two bricks.

To demonstrate the authenticity of the bricks, the monks clapped two of them together, producing aresounding crack of stone upon stone.

With a unified roar, the monks swung the bricks at their own heads.

Those among the audience with fainter hearts closed their eyes, but Alex, with his extraordinary sensesand an advantageous front-row seat, observed the bricks closely. They were indeed genuine, with noevidence of them being tampered with.

The bricks, split into halves upon contact with the monks heads, scattered about. Some even shatteredinto smaller pieces due to the force exerted.

The sight triggered thunderous applause from the audience. Many had only seen such a display ofsuch a unique headbutting skill on their televisions or mobile screens before, never witnessing it live.

Next, a monk brought forth an iron wok similar to those used in ordinary households. To prove itsgenuineness, he knocked it against the wall, creating a metallic clanging sound.

Subsequently, another monk hammered it onto a fellow monk’s head.

Clang!

There was a dent in the center of the wok. However, the monk who had been struck stood straight.unscathed. He even showed his head to the audience.

Under the blazing sun, the monk’s head shone, with no sign of swelling or blood, as if nothing hadhappened.

As the headbutting performance concluded, the audience was given a breather. The monks from GreenMountain Monastery would next exhibit their most renowned performance-divine powers.

“Did you see that? Do you believe in the abilities of Green Mountain Monastery’s divine monks now?”Daphne sneered at Alex, crossing her arms arrogantly

Alex nodded and said impassively, “What they showed just now was indeed real.”

Upon hearing his words, Maggie, standing nearby, looked surprised. She had assumed it was allstaged, but Alex’s affirmation made her believe it was real

In Maggie’s heart, whatever Alex said was the absolute truthnovelbin

Without mercy, Daphne said, “And you dared to claim that the divine monks of Green MountainMonastery are frauds. If my boyfriend hadn’t warned you and the monks were to hear you, they would

Startled by her harsh words, Stannis quickly tried to pacify his girlfriend, asking her not to continue.

Daphne jerked her hand away from Stannis and snapped, “Stannis, if you keep siding with outsiders,we’re through, and there’s no need for our families to keep working together!”

Upon hearing this, Stannis, feeling cornered, shut his mouth.

Alex smiled lightly and said dismissively. “There’s no need to worry about me being beaten to death. After all, their tricks aren’t anything to worry about. They’re just child’s play.”

Daphne’s disdain for Alex deepened. A scornful laugh escaped her lips. “At first, I thought you weremerely a pauper,” she sneered, “but now I see you’re not just a pauper, but a boastful one at that!”

Stanley bristled at Daphne’s derogatory remarks about her father. He stood before Alex and confrontedDaphne. “Don’t you dare insult my father!”

To Daphne, Stanley was nothing more than an insignificant child of five or six. She was about to scoldher when a sudden exclamation from the crowd drew everyone’s attention.

“Look, look! The divine monk who performs divine powers is stepping up!”
