Chapter 812

Chapter 812 Low Profile

The crowd couldn’t see the screen, so they didn’t know what happened. However, their curiosity waspiqued when they saw the utter surprise on the sales assistant’s countenance.

The manager was almost certain Alex’s card didn’t have that much money.

Hence, he turned to Maggie with a smile. “It’s normal for men to lie, miss. After all, there’s no way anordinary person can randomly spend more than one hundred million. We have other jewelry in thestore. If you like one of them, I’ll give you an employee discount of eight point five percent. What do youthink?

He didn’t forget she wasn’t a woman he could touch. However, he still couldn’t help but treat her nicelybecause she was attractive.

“No need. I know better than anyone if he’s able to afford it,” rejected Maggie with a grin.

Meanwhile, the sales assistant was still shocked. Holding Alex’s ATM card, she arrived next to Alexand Maggie with a softened attitude.

As she looked at Alex with respect, she stuttered, “Here’s y-your ATM card, s-sir. The p-payment wassuccessful. 1-I’ll pack the Heart of Lovebirds f-for you right away.”

Her words caused the crowd to gasp in shock. The payment was successful? Unbelievable! He actuallyhas one hundred and fifty million!

Initially, the crowd thought Alex didn’t deserve the absolute beauty beside him since he appearedpainfully ordinary.

Hence, they didn’t anticipate the young man in cheap clothing would be so rich that he could spend onehundred and fifty million without blinking.

The person who found it most difficult to accept the truth was the sales assistant. Even though the saleof the Heart of Lovebirds meant hundreds of thousands in sales commission for her, it was challengingto say if she would obtain it.

After all, she didn’t treat Alex well because she thought he was no different from her terrible ex-boyfriend.

If Alex reported her to her boss, then not only would she fail to earn that sales commission, she mighteven be fired.

She had truly regretted her decision. If I knew he was that rich, I would’ve treated him better.Thankfully, I didn’t treat him that badly earlier. I hope he’ll be magnanimous and forgive me.

Alex didn’t know what the sales assistant was thinking, so he just grabbed the Heart of Lovebirds andhanded it to Maggie. “Didn’t you want a present? Here you go.”

Upon receiving the box, Maggie merely glanced at it before gazing at Alex begrudgingly. “You know this-isn’t what I want. I want something that’s fitting for a couple.” Like, for example, a matching watch orbracelet.

Anything that proves we’re a couple. Although…

When her train of thought ended there, she peeked at the Heart of Lovebirds in the box again. It reallydoesn’t look too bad.

“If you don’t like the necklace, I’ll just give it to someone else.” Raising his eyebrow, Alex tried to snatchthe box in Maggie’s hand back.novelbin

In response, she hid the box behind her back. “Who said I didn’t like it? Don’t even think about givingthis

to another woman”

As they quarreled, they stepped out of the building.

It was then the crowd in the shop began discussing what had transpired. Now we know why anordinary- looking person has a girlfriend as gorgeous as a goddess. It’s because he’s so stupidly richthat he can buy her a necklace that costs one hundred and fifty million without hesitation.

A few young couples were in the shop browsing for jewelry, and they all witnessed that incident.

One of the women there pinched her boyfriend’s arm and stared at him with contempt. “Look at thatwoman’s boyfriend. He bought such an expensive necklace without hesitation. Yet, when I asked you tobuy a necklace of around two or three thousand, you’d hesitate for half a day! Let’s just break up!”

The boyfriend lamented in his mind. How can I be compared to a rich guy like him? Before he couldexplain himself, his girlfriend had already stormed out of the building.

The sales assistant sighed when she saw Alex had left her field of vision. I’ll never judge a book by itscover again, just in case I come across another low-profile affluent person.
