Wendy was jealous, as Alex seemed to be having a great time with his son even when the family wasstony broke.
“Cotton candy isn’t meant to be shared! That’s very disgusting and unhygienic! I guess I can’t blameyou, since you can’t afford another one, huh?”
Alex and Stanley couldn’t care less about Wendy’s remarks, as they were aware that she was merelyjealous.
He gave his son a piggyback ride and asked Wendy. “We’re about to leave. Do you want to join us?”
Wendy was at a loss for words. She couldn’t believe he was able to carry himself in a calm andcollected manner even after she had humiliated him more than once.
She thought it might have something to do with him going through something similar throughout theyears. Thus, she couldn’t help but feel sorry for the man.
After taking a glimpse at her phone, she realized it was indeed time to go home. Nonetheless, she hadno intention of joining the father-son duo because she still deemed them unworthy of her time.
Alex and Stanley were walking behind the family of three as the latter made their way out of theamusement park.
Wendy thought they were merely heading toward the entrance. However, when she made it to theparking lot, she found out the father-son duo was still following behind them. Puzzled, she recalledAlex’s offer and wondered if he needed a ride home.
When the thought crossed her mind, she turned around with her face puckered in irritation, yelling tochase the duo away. “You don’t think we’re going to give you and your son a ride, do you? I’m sorry, butthat’s impossible!”novelbin
Alex arched his brows in confusion. He had a hard time fathoming the things going on in Wendy’smind. He said, “Actually, I don’t need a ride home. I can send you and your family home if you need aride.”
Wendy thought Alex was talking about his motorcycle when he offered to give them a ride. She askedsarcastically. “Are you sure your ride can accommodate all of us?”
Instead of answering her query, he remained silent and responded with a smile.
Seeing his response, she looked at Alex with an arrogant grin.
“Thanks for the offer, but no thanks. I prefer sitting in a car instead of exposing myself to unnecessaryrisk in a motorcycle.”

ahead and suit yourself.” Instead of wasting his time engaging himself in a conversation with her, Alexmarched in the direction of a Bugatti.
At the same time, Wendy and her family noticed the presence of the luxurious vehicle. She pushedAlex aside and rushed over with her eyes gleaming.
“Wow! Am I seeing things? Isn’t this the latest model of the brand? It must be my lucky day for me torun
into it in real life!”
Once she ensured she hadn’t mistaken the car for another car, she started inspecting the car whilekeeping her distance in fear of ruining the car.
It might cost her a fortune to compensate the owner if she were to damage it. It was an astronomicalfigure she could never afford.
It’s a dream come true if I’m allowed to go for a ride in this car!
Joseph retrieved his phone and urged, “Hurry up and stand next to the car! I’ll take a picture of you!”
His wife nodded vigorously and stood next to the car shortly after she touched up on her appearance.Once she was ready, she instructed, “All right. I’m done!”
After they ensured they had the pictures they needed. Wendy noticed Alex was around again. Sheasked, “Can you stop staring at us? You can never afford this car.”
Unwilling to make a fuss out of something trivial, Alex responded with a smile and unlocked the car withhis key. Wendy was startled due to the flickering headlamps.
As a result, the intimidated Wendy squatted down next to the car. Once she returned to her senses,she saw Alex standing in front of her, instructing in a callous tone, “Can you move aside and stopgetting in the way?”
Wendy’s mind went completely blank while stepping aside as instructed.
She couldn’t even fathom the things going on anymore when Alex showed Stanley the way to the carand helped him fasten the seatbelt.
Once he was done, he returned to his seat and accelerated the car in the direction of the bustlingstreets, leaving the confused Wendy and her family behind.
