Heather was too distracted by her own thoughts to pay attention to the rest of the announcement, andshe remained that way even after reaching home.
“Why the long face, Heather?” inquired Carmen curiously.
‘You’ll never believe what Granny just did to me. Not only did she take away the shares that thechairmant gave me, but she also repositioned me as deputy general manager. Heck, she evenrepositioned the purchasing manager I assigned.”
“What? How could she do that? Jennings Corporation would never be doing as well as it is today if itweren’t for you. What the heck is that old hag thinking?” exclaimed Carmen angrily.
