Everyone waited for Alex to sit down first before they did; this was also a form of respect for Alex.
After everyone took their seats, Auriel poured a drink for Alex. Everyone else also filled their cups.
Alex raised his glass and said, “It’s fate for us to meet in Nebula City. I am humbled that you all favorand respect me as who I am. Dr. Skyworth’s granddaughter here is my only disciple, Ms. Grant and theJones family are also important partners to me in my tech dome project. In fact, we are all one bigfamily. “Mr. Jefferson, there’s no need. I drank too quickly just now and I’m not used to whisky’s taste. I’ll beokay after a few more drinks,” Maggie quickly interrupted.
“Don’t worry about it. The purpose of drinking is to have fun and it doesn’t matter what kind of alcoholyou drink. If you don’t like whisky, you can have red wine instead.”
Alex smiled and turned to the waiter again. “Please bring out the best red wine you have.”
“Sure! Coming right up,” the waiter responded before leaving to get the wine,
Maggie looked at Alex gratefully as warmth filled her heart.
Stefan and the others started to offer Alex a toast. They knew that Alex could hold his liquor and did notworry about him getting drunk.

matters.
