“Apologize?”
Alex was baffled, “Ladies, you guys bumped into me. I was just standing here.”
Even though Alex wanted to recruit Jolene, he wasn’t going to be pushed around like that.
As a contracted artist of Harvey’s company, Jolene was scowling as she was in a bit of a hurry. Shewas grabbing a drink with Harvey that night, but she lost her earring and she wanted Harvey to help herlook for it.
That earring was worth more than a million, so she was clearly distressed and Alex just happened to beat the wrong place at the wrong time..
With that, she decided to pour out her frustration on Alex.
“You’d better apologize to me!” demanded Jolene impatiently.
Alex frowned as he changed his mind about recruiting Jolene.
This woman clearly has some issues with her moral qualities and I can’t recruit someone like her.
Looking at Jolene, Alex chuckled before responding, “I don’t get it. Why do I have to apologize to youwhen you’re the one who bumped into me? I think you’re the one who should apologize.”
They should at least have some manners. After all, they’re celebrities and public figures. With peoplelike them, I’m sure Harvey’s Nebula Pictures won’t last long.
“You’re a security guard at this bar, aren’t you? Are you ready to lose your job for refusing to apologizeto me?”
Jolene was appalled at the fact that a mere security guard would dare to rebut her like that.
“Do you know who she is? Ms. Dalton is the top artist at Nebula Pictures and she’s recently the hottestcelebrity! You can kiss your life in Lumenopolis goodbye if you offend Ms. Dalton. You’d betterapologize now!” threatened, the short–haired assistant arrogantly.
“Or else what? Show me,” smiled Alex who seemed amused by her threat.
I just peed on her boss. What makes her think that she has an upper hand now? She’s not even worthbeing peed on.
The assistant was furious at how defiant the supposed security guard seemed. Even the owner of thebar had to curry favor J?lene, so she was baffled at how arrogant Alex sounded.
“Just you wait. I’ll have your boss fire you immediately!” warned the assistant coldly.
Some people, who were on their way to the bathroom, shook their heads thinking that the supposedsecurity guard was done for.
This will probably be his last day at work here.
The owner of the bar should know better than to continue employing him.
“Go ahead. I’m waiting for you to show me that you’re not bluffing,” provoked Alex with a chuckle.

Jolene was enraged and she continued with the threats, “You must’ve lost your mind! You think you canget cocky with me just because a hillbilly like you made it into Lumenopolis as a security guard? I’llhave you thrown out of here even if it’s the last thing I can do!”
As soon as she was done threatening, the sound of Harvey cursing could be heard from the bathroombefore he walked out with the help of his bodyguards.
The men were still soaked all over as if they took a shower with their clothes on.
“Mr. Weiss!” called Jolene gleefully before approaching Harvey to complain, “There’s a security guardhere who dared to oppose me. He even refused to apologize to me. You have to do something aboutit!”
After she was done complaining, Jolene could not help but pinch her nose when she suddenly smelledthe scent of urine.
