Chapter 1256 Negotiating Terms
Upon seeing the expression on Megan’s face, Alex knew she was about to make a move on him. Thisbeing his first encounter with a demon, he couldn’t afford to be the slightest bit careless,
“How about we talk about this? There’s still room for negotiation, isn’t there?” Alex was still trying to buymore time, looking for a chance to slip away.
To his surprise, Megan ignored him completely. All Alex saw was Megan’s figure suddenly disappearingfrom his sight, only to appear in front of him the next second. Immediately after, Alex felt a pain in hisstomach and found himself flying through the air.
That powerful force sent Alex flying far away with just a single punch. It was the first time Alex had everseen such a strong force being exerted with just one punch.

The people from Mountain of the Beasts were truly devious. They couldn’t defeat him, so they resortedto underhanded tactics and pitted a demon against him.
Kidnapping Stanley was merely a ruse. Their true intention was to lure Alex out and seize theopportunity to kill him.
Even if Alex had realized what had happened, it was too late. The only option left for him was to figureout a way to deal with Megan.
Alex, clutching his stomach, stood up from the ground and proposed, “Why are you so intent on killingme? Is there no room for negotiation? I have something valuable. Can I use it as a bargaining chip foryou to spare my life?”
Originally, Megan was planning to continue dealing with Alex, hoping to kill him quickly. However, assoon as she heard what Alex said, she immediately became interested.
“Tell me, what exactly do you have that could persuade me to spare your life?” Megan said with asmile.
Her smile seemed unfathomable, making it impossible for anyone to discern what she was trulythinking. Alex wouldn’t have believed the demon was the same entity as the Megan in the formation ifthey didn’t look alike and he hadn’t witnessed her transformation.
The difference between the two versions of the same entity was too vast. Megan, while trapped in thedemon-trapping formation, appeared innocent and harmless. However, at that moment, she was aterrifying demon. Alex had considered all possibilities, but he had never thought that she could be theproblem. With her acting skills and current expression, Alex felt that even if he had negotiated termswith her, he still wouldn’t have had a chance of survival.
Originally, he had planned to use the blue crystal he obtained from the Greaves family as a bargainingchip to save his own life.
