Heather’s body tensed up at once. It was clear what Dexter was implying. She couldn’t bring herself tokeep a middle-aged man company but had no other choice.

Dexter’s irritation with Heather’s arrogant attitude was reaching its peak. He chided, “Heather, how canyou be so ungrateful? Your friend is genuinely concerned about you, yet you speak to her in such atone. You really lack manners.
