Having settled this matter, and with Wanda’s return, Alex also planned to clarify the matter of thenephrite badge with Damon.
Right then, Wanda poked Alex and asked in a low voice, “What’s going on? Why didn’t he k you? Whydid he kill Hadriel instead?”
She had thought that upon her return, she would have to die with Alex. She never expected things toturn out this way. Wanda was both shocked and delighted.
Alex smiled and patted Wanda on the shoulder, saying, “I’ll tell you later. I need to clarify somethingwith him first.”
Wanda nodded. To be honest, she was very curious about what Alex wanted to say to the old man.

Casually tossing Hadriel’s body to the side, Damon looked at Alex with a hint of surprise. He hadn’texpected this young man, whom he held in high regard, to not be the owner of the nephrite badge.
But being able to clarify this matter signified that he wasn’t driven by personal desires. If he chose notto explain, the secret forces would be his. The more Damon observed the bold young man, the morehe liked him.
It seemed like he felt that it was a pity Alex was not the true owner of the nephrite badge.
“But now, this nephrite badge is in your hands, and that makes you the leader of Raven Sect.” Damonstill wanted to try to convince Alex to be the sect leader, for he couldn’t bear to give up on having a sectleader who had both excellent character and strength.
Upon hearing the words of Damon, Alex showed no hesitation as he returned the nephrite badge in hishand to Wanda.
“That’s not the case anymore. Wanda is now the true leader of the Raven Sect. This has nothing to dowith me,” Alex quickly said.

Damon was left speechless by the scene before him. He hadn’t expected Alex to be so ungrateful andoblivious. Couldn’t he see what he was trying to convey?
“The Raven Sect has never had a female sect leader. Wanda isn’t suitable for the role.” Dam wasdetermined to make Alex the sect leader of the Raven Sect.
Who would have thought that the words spoken by Alex almost made Damon choke on his own rage?
“The Snyder family has been decimated by Hadriel, leaving only Wanda as a viable choice. And now,you’ve killed Hadriel too. Apart from Wanda, who else is there to choose from?” Alex explained.
Damon’s face turned purple with anger. If it weren’t for all the disciples of the Raven Sect present here,he would have blurted out, “I want you to be the sect leader.”
How could Wanda not understand the old man’s thoughts? She also thought that Alex was a goodchoice. Rather than giving the nephrite badge to someone else and letting them become the leader ofthe Raven Sect, it would be better to let Alex take up the role.
