Chapter 1179

Chapter 1179 Unsatisfactory Retribution

“A-Alex, the man-eating bear is truly running toward us. What should we do?”

Elijah hid behind Alex in fear. The creature coming toward them was enormous. If it were to strike themwith one of its paws, their bones would shatter into pieces.

Jordan sneered when he saw that from his position on the tree. These two losers showed up just intime to help me out of this crisis.

He took advantage of the moment the man-eating bear moved to deal with the other two to climb downfrom the tree. Rather than staying where he was and awaiting death, he might as well run as far as hecould.

The others lacked the same courage as him, fearing that they would be targeted by the bears as soonas they came down. So, they obediently stayed up in the trees.

Alex stared at Jordan’s eyes, which were narrowed and exuded a menacing aura. This person is overlyselfish. He won’t hesitate to let others die in his place just so he can live.

The next moment, a thought crossed Alex’s mind, and he directed a surge of Mortal Force towardJordan’s left leg. The latter was still running when something struck his leg unexpectedly, taking awayall sensation in an instant and causing him to hit the ground hard.

He

attempted to get up from the ground but found that his left leg could not move at all, as if it were not hisown. Moving was exceedingly challenging, let alone running.

Jordan had not anticipated this turn of events. At this point, there was only one possibility awaiting him:the man-eating bear would come for him after killing Alex and Elijah.

“What are you all just staring at? Quick! Send two people down to help me. My leg can’t move. Hurry!”he called out to the people in the trees.novelbin

“Why isn’t anyone saying anything? What’s the meaning of this? Are you just going to stand by andwatch me die? I command you to come down and save me right now!” By the end of his statement,Jordan was becoming increasingly frustrated and agitated.

Even in this state, it was still of no use. No one paid any attention to him. It was he who wanted toabandon everyone and escape. No one would risk their lives to save a strong competitor.

Meanwhile, the smaller man-eating bear was feeling somewhat disheartened as it did not manage toshake the timid man down from the tree. It then set its sights on the nearby Jordan and started runningtoward him with its plump legs.

Upon seeing that, Jordan trembled in fear. He desperately pleaded with the people in the trees, “Saveme! Please save me! I don’t want to die! I don’t want to die!”

No one would jump down from the tree to save him in this situation. Everyone merely looked at himwith pity in their eyes.

Jordan backed away helplessly. He reflexively looked toward Alex and Elijah and saw Alex sending thelarger man-eating bear flying with a single palm strike. The bear landed on the ground, groaning twicebefore falling silent.

This scene completely changed his worldview. It was a man-eating bear, after all! The personpreviously regarded as a loser by them easily defeated a fearsome man-eating bear. It was simplyunheard of.

It was only then that Jordan suddenly believed what Elijah had said earlier. The reason they came backwas not to apologize to the group, but to genuinely help them drive those two man-eating bears away.

But what did I do? I repaid their kindness with ingratitude, letting them risk their lives to draw theattention of the man-eating bear just so I could escape.

Jordan regretted his previous actions immensely. But at that moment, the man-eating bear was alreadycharging toward him, and he had nowhere to escape.

Jordan’s clothes were torn apart by the giant claws of the bear, followed by the sound of bones beingcrushed. The bear’s roar was mixed with the piercing wails of agony.

Boom!

Alex raised his hand and struck the man-eating bear on Jordan’s body, sending it flying!
