Chapter 1126 All She Sees Is Money
“Mr. Daxton, no matter what, I’m still your friend, right? You can’t be so heartless!” Cory struggleddesperately, still hoping that he could escape this calamity.
However, it was of no use. The gang that Daxton had brought with him showed no mercy at all. Theypunched, kicked, and struck Cory with sticks.

Immediately after, a mournful wail sounded, causing the onlookers to turn their heads in fear.
Alex coldly watched it all unfold. It was a well-deserved punishment for Cory. If he had not taken it tosuch extremes, he would not have ended up in such a predicament.
“You can stop now. I’ve already had someone transfer the remaining two hundred and fifty thousand toyou,” Alex said to Daxton.
Daxton took out his phone and saw that there was indeed a payment notification. He quickly stoppedhis men and thanked Alex before leaving.
Peace was restored once again. Cory lay on the ground with a swollen face and bruises all over andkept groaning in pain. The man had been beaten to this extent without passing out. Alex did not knowwhether to consider he was unlucky or fortunate.
If he did pass out, at least the pain would be gone. If he did not, he would have to endure the agony ofa broken leg.

With a playful smile, Alex said, “You don’t need to worry about that five hundred thousand. Besides,even if those people get their hands on the money, they won’t have the chance to spend it. It’s mine togive, but they’re not fortunate enough to enjoy it.”
