It hadn’t been easy for Alex to bring Stanley to Lumenopolis with him, so he wasn’t about to head backso soon. Realizing that he had been neglecting Stanley lately, Alex decided to make it up to him..

Garett let out a sigh as he said regretfully, “I knew you were a capable individual the moment youhelped my family out, Mr. Jefferson. While I am not sure if you are able to help us resolve this crisis, Ihave been left with no other option. You are the only person I could think of to seek help from.”
While Alex had no idea what the crisis was, he could tell from Garett’s tone that the latter was unable toresolve it on his own.
“Please tell me what’s going on, Mr. Greaves. I might just be able to help you out with that crisis,” Alexsaid.
Realizing that he was probably dawdling a little too much, Garett decided to tell Alex everything thathad happened.
Apparently, a group of powerful individuals had appeared in Lumenopolis all of a sudden. Each of themwas able to take on multiple opponents at once. Some of them were so powerful that one could easilymistake them for a fictional character from a superhero movie.
They had taken over the prominent families in Lumenopolis and their businesses, forcing the latter tobecome their slaves.
Garett’s son had a huge business in Lumenopolis, and their family was regarded as one of the mostpowerful ones in the city, so it was only natural that those individuals targeted the Greaves family aswell.
Those men had Tobias transfer all of his businesses over to them and forced him to obey their everycommand.
As Tobias had spent his entire life building those businesses up, he refused to just hand them over tosomeone else.
He had ordered the Greaves family’s security guards and housekeepers to kick those people out, butthey were unable to even put up a fight.
