“Oh, well, look who’s here,” Giovanni, who had previously been allowed into the auction despite nothaving the invitation card with him, commented in a condescending tone the moment Alex and Garettsettled into their seats at the auction.

Giovanni, who was fuming, looked up when he heard Garett speaking to him. His fury was immediatelydoused when he saw that it was Garett.
“Mr. Greaves, never thought I’d see you here. What a coincidence!”
Giovanni paused as he glanced at Alex and asked, “Mr. Greaves, did you say he’s your nephew?”

Rather than harboring a grudge, Alex chose to let go of any resentment he had toward Giovanni. Infact, his impression of Garett had improved.
