Chapter 1039 No Entry Without An Invitation
Tons of wealthy and powerful individuals showed up at the auction. They gathered in the event hall andtalked about their desired items.
Each of them had to present a red invitation card to the security guards at the door. The securityguards would examine it thoroughly before letting them in.
That was when Alex realized he wouldn’t be able to enter the auction house as he did not have aninvitation card.
Just like that, Alex was denied entry despite being so close to obtaining the Blood Ganoderma.
“Could you let me see the person in charge of this auction? I need to speak to him!” Alex said in anattempt to negotiate with the security guard.

The security guard eyed Alex from head to toe in disdain before shoving him back with his electricbaton.

Alex felt speechless at the fact that he was being looked down on by a security guard again.
Suddenly, a man wearing a pink suit and huge sunglasses walked right past them with a sexy womanin his
arms.
He didn’t even present his invitation card to the security guard when he passed them by.
The security guard quickly ran forward to stop him, but the tone he used when speaking to the manwas incredibly polite.
“I’m sorry to bother you, Mr. Giorgio. Could you please present your invitation card?”
Giovanni took his sunglasses off and shot the security guard a displeased look as he shouted angrily, “Ileft my invitation card in the car. What’s the matter? Are you going to stop me from entering simplybecause I don’t have it with me? I could have you kicked out of Lumenopolis for this!”
The security guard instantly chickened out and said apologetically, “O-Of course not, Mr. Giorgio!Please head on in! I’m sorry for offending you! Please forgive me!”
Giovanni then eased up on his frown and put his sunglasses back on before waltzing into the auctionhouse with his woman.
Alex pointed at Giovanni and questioned the security guard, “Why did you let that guy in without aninvitation card?
“I’m surprised you have the audacity to compare yourself to Mr. Giorgio! He’s from the Giorgio family,which is one of the most powerful families in Lumenopolis! His identity alone is the equivalent of aninvitation card! What about you, huh? Who are you?” the security guard snapped at him in disdain.
