“Elsa, where are you? I order you to return to the police station immediately!” An authoritative voicefilled with a tinge of anger came from the other end of the phone.
Elsa’s face grew tense when she heard that. She quickly acknowledged the command and ended thecall.
The call had come from the chief of the police station. Elsa concluded that Martin must have returnedand informed the higher authorities about the events that had transpired earlier.
