Elsa did not look back. She was afraid she might see Alex lying dead on the ground after he was shotmultiple times. If he really died, she would feel guilty for the rest of her life since she was the one whohad insisted on bringing him here.
After a few seconds and thinking everything was set in stone, Elsa turned back. She was astonished tofind Alex standing there unharmed. It was as if nothing had happened.
Did none of the bullets hit Alex? If that’s the case, those people have terrible aims. But is that reallypossible?
The two quickly took cover at the entrance. Elsa gripped her AK rifle and took a peek before firingseveral shots at the people.
