CHAPTER 32
Selena is standing in front of the dark passage.
“You are not sending me in first, are you?” Selena smiled sheepishly and when they nodded, her smiledied off. With the act she put up there, she has no choice but to obey now, does she?
She slowly turned around and looked carefully at the passage. A hand pushed her from behind, makingher take a step into the passage. It smelled bad and wet in there. Selena noticed that the floor is solidthou, as if its made out of cement or wood. Not even a few meter, she stretched her hand to her backand pulled the first thing she could grab. Orion came thudding her back, laying his chin on her shoulder.His breathing was shaky as they all focused to the front. Step by step, she went forward. She startedsweating from anxiety. It was pitch black and she couldn’t see anything. A sudden metal clanking waswhat need to make her turn around to run away and bump into something hard. It was Xavier and heturned her around to walk further. A few more meters and the temperature of air around them starteddropping, a breeze of air can be felt. Selena’s vision getting clearer and clearer as a little light camethrough. In her vision, a man was standing ahead of her, a few meters at least. She could only see himshadowy.
“Oh my god, there is someone here” she whispered and Makeala came to her other shoulder
“Really, where?” She whispered in return and Selena pointed ahead, slightly to her left. A suddenknock fell on her head
“Ouch!!!” Selena
“That’s Zaden, you freak” Makeala steeping in anger. He must have slipped pass her, to her front asany alpha would, protecting their pack. She felt a great relief, she paced faster. They finally walked outof the passage into a cave, a very tall and vast cave. Their presence spooked some bad and startedflying around with screeching sound. Selena grabbed Zaden shirt on the sides of his waist and hid herface into his back. Orion raised his jacket to cover her face and his other hand was holding her arm
across. She could see Zaden’s hands stretched to his back, making sure she is hidden behind him andhis other arm covered his face. Selena is in a safe embrace by the two men. The bats flew crazy passthem. Makeala was embraced by Xavier and Sitka as they had crouched to the ground. Aftereverything has calmed down, Selena peeped from behind Zaden, inspecting her surroundings. Shestepped out a bit more bravely, making Zaden roll his eye and sigh out. She was looking for anopening.
“It’s over there, shorty” Zaden mocked her, making her snap her head at him with anger. She noticed ascrape on his cheek and tried to touch it, making Zaden hiss. She pursed her lips
“Serves you right for calling me shorty” she huffed and walked away. The opening was behind a hugerock, a few meters up a bunch of rocks, so, at 5.2 feet, Selena couldn’t see it. She had to start climbingfor her to see the opening. Zaden being at the front, climbed up first, and turned to give a hand toSelena. Orion, Xavier, Makeala and Sitka followed one by one. At the opening, a thick curtain of vinecascade, making it hard to see outside. Zaden slightly moved the vines with a finger and the other handholding Selena’s hand, tightly. He peeped out. It looked safe but still Zaden turned around, grabbedOrions hand with his free hand and placed Orion’s hand over Selena shoulder as he looked over her toother and give out an instruction
“Wait here, I’m going to check the surrounding first.” He then walked out without looking back at Selenaand Orion held her shoulders tight. It took quite a long time that they started feeling anxious. ThenZaden came back and instructed everyone to follow him. They walked out and the first thing Selenasaw was the camping zone she mentioned earlier. Zaden was way ahead of them and they rushed tofollow him. There was a path that went far out of the forest. They walked the path, for about 30 minutestill it ended up to a roadway. From the roadway, they can see a town, the one that Orion took Selenaand Jeffry before, to make phone call and buy dress. From brick house, it will take 6 hours by foot, 3hours as werewolf and 2 hours by jeep to get here. But via the passage that they had found, it will takeonly 45 minutes for a werewolf to get here. It is the fastest secret passage way. They walked to the
phone booth and looked around for a while, what shops are there, any werewolves or rogues are there,anything suspicious and such. When none found, Zaden signaled to go back when Selena hold hisarms with both her hands., she can only grab his arm completely by combining both her hands.
“Zaden…hmm…can I make a phone call, please?” her eye were literally begging him and she wassaying million prayers in her heart. Zaden didn’t realize how much she must have missed her familyand friends. He sighed out and grabbed her hand before placing his wallet in her hands.
The leader’s pack stood a few meters away from the phone booth, with hot coffee in paper cup, talkingabout miscellaneous stuff. Selena called her dad, then Jewel, then Jeffry who was with Noah andOliver. It took her over 30 minutes to wrap up and she came running out with a wide grin.
“Done?” Zaden asked, she nodded frantically
“Let’s go” Zaden grabbed her wrist and they started walking towards the cave.
Back at the communal room, Grandpa Kai was surrounded by leader’s pack and Selena. Theyexplained to him of what they found. Grandpa Kai sighed
“Back when we first came here, we stayed as one village. The mountain was vast and only the first 5mountains were our territory. When the prophecy of a Samrat’s heir came to surface, The King focusedhis search mainly in mountain region. There was a rumor about passage ways dug up by Samrat’sarmy to enter mountain regions without being noticed, a way to send spy and retrieve informationsafely, if needed, their army to attack. In both my age and your father’s age, we searched every inch ofthe mountain but we found none. I guess, you found it.” Grandpa Kai said, Zaden nodded
“And the rogues turned it to a way to bring poached animals out. Great…We have to find a way toclose the passage way” Zaden said with determination.
“But the passages are cast with a spell so that no werewolf will be able to detect it. How did you guysfind out?” Grandpa Kai asked and all of them looked at Selena, who have successfully found her tub ofchocolate ice-cream and busy digging it. At the end of communal meeting, everyone went out mindingtheir own business. Zaden was still there, semi-seated on a table. Selena also walked towards the doorbut before she walk out, she remembered something and turned back to Zaden. She came stand nextto him, her tiny soft fingers caressed his scrape wound
“Does it hurt?” her innocent eye made him numb and he shook his head ‘no’. He held her hand andstarted fiddling with her fingers.
“You shouldn’t have stood in front, unarmed like that…” he focused on her finger, ignoring her words.
“By the way, you don’t need to buy chocolate and ice-cream everyday…” Selena said, he let out achuckle.
“You eat way too much sugar than an actual food, do you know that?” she nodded frantically and hechuckled some more.
“Meet you at 11pm? You won’t be late, would you?” Zaden
“No, I will be on time” Selena said and there was a pause.
“After this 15days issue…We can go visit your dad every week… sometimes I go to city more thanonce a week, so…” he whispered and she nodded.
“Do you regret coming back?” she shook her head no
“Do you…ever want to go back?” he whispered with hesitation, leaning too close to her and shedropped her vision to his chest.
“Hmm…sometimes…Ouch!!!” she just got a pinch on her hands
“Get lost” Zaden said coldly before moving away from her. She sticked her tongue out and walkedaway but just before stepping out
“But I never wanted to stay away…” she said loud enough for him to hear and went forward. He smiledat her words.
As per plan, Selena came out of the house at 11pm and Zaden was waiting for her around the roseedges. White t-shirt and light blue jeans, with his leather strap branded watch, a grey boots. Selenafroze for a minute as this whole thing looked familiar, the first dream she had with her dream crush withminor changes. He extended his hand for Selena to grab and she did with a dead pan expression.They started walking away. Through the firefly field, each step paced slowly as tiny burst of firefly roseup. Selena bit her lower lips with a smile as she observes a few firefly that managed to rise up to hereye level. She didn’t notice, but Zaden was doing the same too only not at the firefly, but at her.
“You look beautiful today…” he finally spoke, making Selena stiffen her back.
“Excuse me…Since when have you started giving compliments?” She asked with a frown and hesmiled.
“I won’t lie, you look nice when you smile but you rarely smile, so do the math” Selena said as shesquinted her eye. He pulled her hand, making her crash to his arms, standing really close to him. Hercheeks were touching his arms and she looked up at him. His eyes admiring every bit of her face. Thesuffering in his heart is becoming more and more inevitable, day by day. He needed Selena as muchas his wolf needed hers. He pulled out the other hand that was in his pocket and out came a smallpiece of chocolate. He gave it to Selena
“That’s it?” she huffed out
“You said chocolate, you didn’t say specifically how big or how small” Zaden smiled. She unwrapped itand put it in her mouth.
“Can I ask you something?” Selena said, in her usual low sweet voice. Yes she rambles but only whenshe panics, yes she is childish but she has her own pain too, yes she is sarcastic but she know whereto stop. But not even once, has her voice became unbearable or naggy to Zaden.
“Ha, finally. I thought I brought the wrong girl with me” Zaden mocked her and she pushed him playfullyby his arm
“You said you are sure Ozrain is coming. Why are you so sure?” Selena questioned and Zaden fiddledwith her fingers.
“Because… he has been looking for you for 200 years…I don’t think he would give up someone likeyou that easily. I know I wouldn’t if I ever had a baby like you. So, he would definitely know that you arehere and when he does, he won’t waste any more time” Zaden said
“When he does, what will happen?” Selena had to ask
“Frankly, I don’t know… if he wants to take you away, nothing can stop him”
“Except for me…” Selena’s voice changed into the deep, sexy voice and Zaden snapped his eyes ather. When he saw the black eye and the killer smile, a sense of freedom surged him. He pulled her byneck and kissed her passionately. The silent woods is now bombarded with his kissing sound.
“Oh baby, you have no idea how long I have waited to kiss you…How long I have to control the urge tokiss you” she giggled
“And now you are free to kiss or do whatever you want…” she said as her fingers circled his chest. Shethen unbuttoned her black shirt, eyes sharp on Zaden as he watched bit by bit of her body revealing.She shifted into her wolf once the undressing is complete. Zaden did the same and ran with her. They
reached lake Khalifa within 15 minutes and shifted back to semi. They resumed their kiss, with Zadencupping her jawline. He moved to her neck and she moaned
“She made me kneel to her today. Now, it’s your turn to kneel in front of me.” Zaden said and she didas told. He slide his palms behind her neck and thrust his now erect manhood into her mouth, gazingher eye with every thrust, each growing deeper and deeper and deeper. He can control himselfanymore and pushed her to lay flat on the grass, and moved down, thrusting into her delicate part,making her yelp. She was already wet even though nothing done to make her so. “SELENA!!!” she screamed, cursing her other half for putting her into this situation. He smiled like aSatan before turning her around and thrusting her from behind, before she could even kneel. Shestruggled to get to her knees and when she did, it became even much worst. “I am not sorry…” he said in low voice making her chuckle. He then kissed her abdomen, again andagain. Her soft smooth skin felt like baby’s blanket. She-wolves are generally very pretty but Selenawas surely an exception. After a long silence, Zaden spoke
“Does she love me?”
“I can’t speak for her…” Selena
“I’m not asking you to speak on her behalf. Consider it as information sharing.” She giggled, her fingersrunning through his hair
“I don’t know” Selena
“Does she love anyone else?” Zaden
“It’s Selena. She loves everyone…” Selena
“I mean does she…”novelbin
“Shu…you have the whole morning to talk to her about her likes and dislikes. I have only hours, beforebreak of dawn and between your ravage desire. You have to ask her yourself if you must know…now,let me enjoy my alpha…” with that she cupped Zadens face and pulled his lips by her teeth. A lowgrowl rumbled through him and there goes another round of savage love making.
