Luckily, Fiona was in charge and had the staff cut the broadcast immediately. She also clarified it wasall a prank, and the situation was now mostly under control.

It was only then that Lucian rushed out, only to witness his mother being struck.

"Mom!" Lucian hurried over, supporting Camille.

A red mark of a slap was visible on Camille's face. Lucian's father had passed away early, leaving himdeeply attached to his mother.

He couldn't stand this. Anger clouded his face.

"Hanna! There's a time and place for your madness, and there are limits! Grandma is still here, andeven though we may be weaker, my mom is still one of the family. You can't just hit her whenever youfeel like it!"

With those words, Lucian forcefully bumped into Hanna. She staggered from the impact, slipping asshe stood next to the hotel's spiral staircase, and began to fall.

"Ah!"

"Mrs. Hanna Dashiell, watch out!"

Evelina emerged from nowhere, rushing to grab Hanna. However, in her panic, Hanna flailed about, causing Evelina to lose her grip. Both of them tumbled down the stairs together.

Lizetta instinctively stepped forward, but another figure was much faster. This pink blur dashed forward, forcefully pushing Hanna and Evelina aside.

Hanna landed on the ground with a thud, Evelina falling on top of her, eliciting a scream of pain fromthe former.

But the figure that had pushed them away lost their balance and rolled down the stairs.

Lizetta felt a chill run through her body, her face turning pale. The one who had saved Evelina andHanna, rolling down the stairs, was Yolanda!

"No!"novelbin

Lizetta's voice seemed to float from afar, filled with desolation and piercing despair.

When Remington charged into the hall on the first floor, he heard Lizetta's familiar, trembling voiceamidst the sound of something heavy tumbling down the stairs and the screams that followed. A senseof dread and panic enveloped Remington, leaving him momentarily paralyzed.

"Someone's fallen down the stairs!"

"My God, it looks like the bride."

"Quick, call 911!"

Amidst the chaos, Remington felt as if he was standing in the middle of a blizzard, engulfed by fear andpanic.

His legs almost gave out as he looked towards the staircase. But what he saw reignited a spark ofhope in his despondent eyes.

It was Lizetta. Wearing her wedding dress, she was frantically descending the staircase. And on theplatform in the middle of the spiral staircase lay a woman in a pink dress.

Remington didn't have time to figure out who the fallen woman was; his gaze was fixated on Lizetta, hispalms sweaty with anxiety.

He feared she might tumble down the stairs at any moment. He dashed up the stairs, closing thedistance with urgency.

By then, Lizetta was already kneeling on the ground, her trembling hands touching Yolanda's scatteredlocks.

From the moment Hanna lashed out to Yolanda's fall, it'd only been a minute or two. Lizetta was inshock, hardly believing Yolanda had fallen down the stairs.

It felt like a nightmare, suffocating, harrowing!

It was her fault! She had insisted on this ridiculous wedding. If anyone was to be punished, it should'vebeen her. Why did Yoli have to suffer in her place?

Watching the blood slowly seep from beneath Yolanda's hair, Lizetta shuddered. She wished she'dbeen the one to fall. She was ready to end it all with her own life!
