In those photos, he and Stella, dressed as a bride and groom, were riding on a majestic horse, laughing so heartily.

Do kids at the age of eleven or twelve really not understand what it means to have a crush?

But she had fallen for Rem at the very onset of her adolescence.

She wanted to ask Remington if he truly felt only guilt towards Stella, with no love at all.

But before she could even begin, Remington patted her head, interrupting her.

"Alright, let's not talk about this any longer. Hungry? Go freshen up."

Lizetta wanted to press further, but just then, Remington's phone began to ring.

He stood up and gestured towards the bathroom, signaling Lizetta to go freshen up, and then he tookhis phone and walked over to the balcony to answer the call. Lizetta bit her lip and headed to thebathroom.

When she came out, Remington had just returned from his call.

"Alright, I understand. She's not just your darling; rest assured, and I'll be extremely careful in takinggood care of her."

Lizetta paused, her heart skipping a beat.

Could it be that Barbara had woken up?

The "darling" he was talking about, was it Stella?

As Lizetta inevitably pondered over it, she suddenly felt his phone pressed to her ear.

She looked up in surprise at Remington, who whispered, "It's Grandma's call."

Lizetta was taken aback again; it was Grandma on the phone.

So, the "darling" he was talking about was her?

Lizetta's cheeks flushed slightly, and at the same time, Fiona's affectionate voice came through thereceiver.

"Lizetta, dear, Grandma got a very auspicious fortune at the church this time!

Master Wisdom said that you and Remington are destined partners, without a doubt!

I also got a blessing for Joy, to ensure a healthy and smooth birth. Later, you and Remington comeover to the family home, and carry this blessing with you."

"Grandma, you're back? Ok, then Remi and I will come to see you soon."

Hearing the old lady's voice made Lizetta happy. After hanging up, she hurried Remington.

"Remi, let's hurry down for breakfast; don't keep Grandma waiting."

Remington was dragged along, feeling excited, yet cautious not to let her trip or get tired.novelbin

Bending down, he picked her up, and Lizetta looked up at him.

He slightly frowned and chuckled.

"It seems that only Grandma can make you this happy. When will you smile like that at me? I feelunappreciated!"

As he spoke, he playfully tapped her on the backside, and his tone was a mix of mock hurt anddissatisfaction.

Lizetta was lost for words.

This man, was he really jealous of Grandma?

She must be overthinking it.

After breakfast, Remington accompanied Lizetta out.

But they had barely left Oakridge Heights when Remington received a call from Hanna.

Hanna's panicked cries echoed in the car.

"Remington, what do we do, Joseph is missing! He ran away from the hospital, and he's gone! Pleasesend someone to find your brother!"

Lizetta was also shocked, staring anxiously at Remington.

Remington's brows furrowed as he asked sternly.

"When did he disappear? And how do you know he ran away from home?"

Hanna sobbed, "He overheard the servants talking about how I forced Lizetta to undergoamniocentesis, and then he quietly left the hospital, even leaving a note saying he didn't want to betreated anymore! The security footage only caught him sneaking out the back door of the hospital.Where could he have gone? What if he faints or gets kidnapped!

Oh, is Lizetta with you? Ask her if Joseph might have gone to see her, and where she might be hidinghim!?"
