Chapter 3217

"This is the hotel, but of course, this isn't the room you were staying in. I brought you back to your room after you got drunk, but not long after you lay down, you puked everywhere and even got it on the bed, so I had to move you." Dylan sat back down and commented, "You're really hard to handle when you're drunk. I think you better refrain from drinking so much in the future."

Imogen was silent for a moment. "I don't have any recollection of that at all. All I remember is I drank quite a lot with you and it was really delicious. When I return to Huntington, give me a case of the same whiskey. I want to have some on my own at home when I'm in a bad mood."

"You still need more?" Dylan did not believe she needed more. She definitely had lots of good alcohol at home too.

"I don't need more whiskey, but I don't have whiskey from you."

After a pause, Dylan conceded again. "Fine. When you leave Wiltspoon, I'll give you a case of the same whiskey we had last night and some of Wiltspoon's specialties to bring home. I can't let you go back with nothing to show for it, after all."

Imogen smiled. "That's right. You can't let me go back empty-handed."

Then, she sat down beside Dylan and leaned back on the sofa as she said to him, "Mr. York, is there orange here? Could you make me a glass of orange juice to help with my headache?"

"Didn't you say it didn't hurt much?" Dylan said wryly but still stood up. "Let me wash my face and I'll make the juice for you. You should wash up too.

"If you want a bath, go back to your room. This is the presidential suite. Zack stays here all the time. He only let you stay the night here because it's you. He wouldn't have agreed if you were anyone else, even if Serenity spoke up for you."

Zachary and Serenity both knew that Imogen was his bride candidate by Grandma May. To them, Imogen was already part of the family.

If Imogen heard Dylan say this yesterday, she would have found it weird, but now that she knew Dylan had only approached her and treated her nicely because of Grandma May, she did not think so. Serenity and her husband probably already viewed her as family.

Imogen watched Dylan walk out. Could she become a family with him? He had only been nice to her because of his grandmother. She could tell he did not truly love her. She had been moved by him and was not willing to give up; as simple as that. She wanted to try, to see if she could defeat her alter ego.novelbin

If she could not... then she would not know whether to laugh or cry.

"I'll call Serenity to thank her later."

Dylan heard this but did not reply. That was between her and Serenity.

After washing up, Dylan asked the hotel butler for breakfast room service before making the juice. He was about to bring it into the room for Imogen when she came out.

"The juice is ready. I've also asked the hotel butler to serve breakfast. Once you've eaten, you can head back to your room to catch up on sleep. Your headache will disappear if you sleep enough." Imogen hummed in acknowledgment and thanked him as she took the orange juice from him.

Shortly after, the hotel butler arrived with their breakfast.
