Chapter 3215

Dylan, who was at the hotel taking care of Imogen, replied privately to Austin.

He sent Austin a voice note asking, "You traveled so far just to become a chef?"

Austin sat on the sofa as he replied, "Am I not allowed to? It's a very challenging role to be the O'Connors' private chef. I just wanted to see if I could pass the test. Luckily, I beat all my competitors. I've pretty much achieved the impossible."

Dylan was speechless for a moment before he replied, "It feels more like you ran for president than a chef. How long do you plan on staying there? Christmas is around the corner. Aren't you coming home?" "I might not this year. I'll go back when my boss gives me the boot."

"With your ability, I don't think your boss can fire you. You firing her is more like it. I just don't understand why you had to go that far. You have your restaurant and can cook anywhere, but you just had to go miles away. It's cold there, no? Can you stand it?"

Austin retorted, "It's not like we've never experienced the cold. Didn't Nana leave you in the snowy mountains? Anyway, enough about me. What about you? Have you been wooing your future wife?" Austin thought inwardly that if Dylan still had not made a move now that he had, Dylan would be in for it when he brought Isabella home to meet their nana. Pigs would fly if she did not whip Dylan with her cane when that happened.

"Ugh, don't start. It's so annoying. Serenity invited me for dinner tonight."

Austin laughed. "It was a trap, wasn't it?"

"Right on the money. The lady Nana picked tattled on me to Serenity. Then the invitation came."

"What did you do to my cousin-in-law?"

"She's not your cousin-in-law!" Dylan corrected Austin's form of address. He did not think he would marry Imogen. Tomorrow, he would come clean to Grandma May. He mightnovelbin

know Chameleon Fox all that well, but he was sure he did not want to marry Imogen.

He did not care if his nana was going to scold and beat him. Marriage was the decision of a lifetime, He did not want to force himself to marry a woman he did not love, even if he did not hate Imogen. In fact, he thought she suited him very well in every aspect.

He just did not want to marry her.

"Do you think you can go against Nana?" Austin asked with amusement. "Nana definitely picked someone who suits you. You can spend time bonding with her since you. ou have a year anyway. If you still

feet nothing for her at the end of the

year, you can talk to Nana then."

It was just like how Grandma May had chosen Isabella for him. Austin liked Isabella very much from the moment he laid eyes on her and decided she was going to be his wife. It was pretty much love at first sight.

Dylan was silent for a moment before he replied, "Yeah, she's a good match, but I just don't feel any passion for her."

Austin knew about Dylan's troubles. "Just think it over carefully and make sure you don't regret anything later."

The cousins each had their own goal to work toward. They could not help each other. All they could do was offer advice to each other when they were troubled.

"I never do things I'll regret. I got to go. Imogen is asking for water again." When Dylan heard Imogen calling for water, he stopped sending Austin voice notes and poured a glass of water for her.

He sat down by the bed and put down the glass. He helped her sit up before holding the glass to her lips for her to drink from.

This was his first time taking care of a drunk. At least she was only asking for water and not retching like she did earlier. After a few sips, she collapsed back into bed to continue sleeping, but not even two minutes later, she got out of bed. However, she was so drunk that she was stumbling all over the place.
