Chapter 3134

It was not cold in the whole of Georgia during winter and not just Wiltspoon. Though it was a littlecolder in the neighboring provinces.

“It’s alright. It’s not that cold if I don’t go outside.”

There was heating in the hotel, so he did not feel cold.

In the hotel room, he only needed to wear a long-sleeve shirt and did not even need a jacket.

Meanwhile, at Dunboy Manor, there would be heating everywhere apart from the yard, and wouldnot be cold either.

He was applying to be a chef, so he would naturally be working in the kitchen, which was indoors.Even if it were freezing outside, it would be warm inside.

Once he got busy, he might even feel hot enough to sweat.

“Is it truly not cold in Wiltspoon in the winter?” Dominic asked. “I’ve never been to Georgia. I justknow that it’s a very wealthy province and Wiltspoon is a big city.”

“It might not be cold for you guys, but to us, it feels cold if the temperature drops even a little. Andthere are wealthy and poor people everywhere.”

“That’s true. In Windermere, Satbury is the capital and is a big city, but the conditions are muchworse in the more rural areas.”novelbin

Austin said mildly, “It’s the same for us. Georgia might be doing well economically, but theconditions in rural areas aren’t great either.”

Dominic smiled but did not continue the conversation because they were about to arrive at DunboyManor.

Ten minutes later, Dominic led Austin into a two-story building next to the main building and up to aroom on the second floor. Dominic unlocked and opened it for Austin before saying to him, “You’ll bestaying here for the night, Mr. York.

“If you succeed in the interview tomorrow, this will be your accommodation.

“We replaced everything inside with new ones after the previous employee left. Take a look laterand let me know if anything’s missing. I’ll get someone to send it over to you.”

The manor employees were all live-in and stayed in this two-story building.

Those who only worked on the estate lived further away because they did not need to enter themanor to work.

Only the butler and the housekeeper stayed with the O’Connors in the main house.

“Alright. Thanks, Dominic.” Dominic, a middle-aged man, was the previous butler’s son. He grew upwith the O’Connors and succeeded his father later on, which was also why he was deeply trusted.

Dominic was very loyal to the O’Connors and was pretty much on par with Sam from WildridgeManor.

The housekeeper was a woman and was a little younger than Dominic was. Her main responsibilitywas to coordinate the female domestic helpers’ jobs and had been working here for around tenyears. Mrs. Delphine O’Connor, Isabella’s mother, favored her very much.

On the other hand, as the head of the family, Isabella relied on Dominic more. After all, he hadwatched them grow up and had grown up with the O’Connors too, and so was even more loyal to

them.

“You should get some rest for now. Would you like to make your own dinner, or shall I get someoneto bring you some food? If you want to make it yourself, you can just grab the ingredients from themain kitchen. There’s a fully equipped kitchen here. If you don’t want to cook, just add your name tothe list and the main kitchen will prepare your dinner. Once it’s time, I can get someone to bring it toyou, or you can head to the staff lounge to eat.”

There was not much difference between the management of Dunboy Manor and Wildridge Manor. IfAustin had to pinpoint something, the rules here at Dunboy were stricter.

Wildridge had fewer rules because Grandma May was approachable and easygoing.

Austin replied, “It’s just a single meal, so I won’t make it myself. Could you tell me where the loungeis? I’ll have dinner there.”

Dominic answered, “Once you head out, walk along and follow the signs, and you’ll find it.”

“Alright. Thanks again, Dominic.”

Dominic smiled. “I hope we become colleagues, Mr. York.”

“We will!” Austin was very confident. If Isabella could stomach his treats, the one thing he was worstat making, his best dishes would do just fine.
