Chapter 3113

“Caroline, I’m your true brother. Are there any little sisters out there like you?

“Instead of taking your brother’s side, you’re taking an outsider’s side. Even if she’s your sister-in-law, she’s not family by blood.” Adrian was angry that Caroline was not in his corner.

He actually came looking for Caroline because he wanted her to persuade his wife.

Their children were already so big—what was the point of getting divorced?

He would just go out less in the future.

“Do you want your nieces and nephews to have a broken family? You should help me persuadeEmma not to get divorced. Does she think she’s still young? Does she think she can remarry afterthe divorce? Even if she can, she’ll only be able to marry an old geezer.

“None of the young men would want her. Unlike me—I’m a rich, accomplished man. I could get aneighteen-year-old hottie even after I’m divorced. Can she though?

“Besides, our kids are already grown up. What’s the point of divorcing? Isn’t she afraid of hurtingand embarrassing our children?”

Instead of drinking her cup of coffee, Caroline threw it straight at Adrian.

Caught completely off guard, he took the brunt of it.

The coffee was still hot. Although it was not scalding, it was still hot enough for him to jump.

It dripped down his face and stained both his white shirt and suit jacket.

“What the heck, Caroline?” Adrian wanted to do the same to Caroline, but Caroline’s cold glaredeterred him.

This sister of his was just like their mother. When she got vicious, family meant nothing.

“Are you even human? Adrian, do you have any shame at all?” Caroline rebuked coldly. “And youhave the nerve to criticize me? Did I cause your divorce?

“Now you’re asking Emma to consider your kids’ feelings, but when you had affairs and cheatedwith Celine, did you think about your children and their feelings?

“Under your guidance, they’ve always been close to their fake aunt Celine.

“If they found out their dad and aunt had an affair, would they be able to accept it? So you’vethought about their feelings, have you?

“I approve wholeheartedly of Emma divorcing a scumbag like you.

“I’m a reasonable person—I won’t take your side just because you’re family. You were in the wrongfor cheating on Emma.

“Since you think you can rob the cradle, why are you so scared of divorcing Emma? If you have thatin you, go ahead—get divorced and bring an eighteen-year-old girl home to prove it to me!

“I’m already letting you off easy by pouring coffee on you. If you weren’t my brother, I would’vekicked you in the nuts long ago!”novelbin

Adrian was struck speechless.

“If you still consider yourself a man, Adrian, you should make this an amicable split. Don’t makethings ugly.

“If this goes to court and Emma exposes all of your affairs the public doesn’t know about, yourreputation will be ruined.

“Yeah, Mom’s still around right now and is still the head of the family, and she’ll protect you guys, but she’s already seventy, turning seventy-one. She’s old now—how much more energy do youthink she has to clean up your messes?

“Do you expect me to clean up your mess? In your dreams!”

Adrian shook a finger at Caroline in fury, but could not say a thing.

Caroline’s cold expression looked so much like their mother’s.

It was like he was looking at his mother when she was young.

“Get out! Don’t disturb me for your personal matters in the future. I have no time to deal with yournonsense!” Caroline truly did not want to get involved in Adrian and Emma’s conflict.

If not for Adrian shamelessly looking for her and saying all those despicable things, even criticizingher, she would have ignored it completely.

“If Emma comes looking for you later, please persuade her to give me another chance. I promise Iwon’t do anything to wrong her again. Ask her not to divorce me for the sake of our children.” Adrianwas full of anger, but still made his request.
