Chapter 3088

Jason’s two children were the youngest of Belinda’s grandchildren. They were in preschool and usually stayed with theirmaternal grandmother, whose house was near the preschool. It was more convenient for the kids.

Since that was the arrangement, Belinda would make monthly bank transfers to her in-laws for her grandchildren’s livingexpenses.

“Tell Emma to meet me upstairs when she’s back.”

“Okay, Madam Fisher. Incidentally, dinner is ready,” Elaine reminded her.

After a brief silence, Belinda said, “I don’t have an appetite.”

Neither her husband nor children were around. She could not enjoy her food as before.Besides, her appetite was further ruined by her bad mood.

“You hadn’t had much for lunch. A lot of time has passed since then. You should eat.”“| don't feel like it.”

Belinda hung up.

Elaine sighed.

Not long after, Caroline returned.

Darren had given her a ride back.

She held cotton candy in one hand and two chocolate-dipped apple slices in the other.Darren drove and stopped in front of the main house.

“We've arrived, Ms. Caroline.”

Darren turned and smiled at her.

He had witnessed her childish side as she played for hours at the indoor theme park. She said she had never been to a theme park or a zoo before.

Caroline’s adoptive parents would never bring her out to have fun. Even if they did, they would only bring their biological sonalong.

Caroline was making up for her childhood.

She bought snacks that children fancied.

“Do you want to come in for a drink? You can even have dinner before leaving,” Caroline asked.

Darren wanted to but refused. He said, “I'll whip something light for myself when | get back. | shall not go inside.”He noticed Belinda’s car in the parking lot.

Since Belinda was home, Darren could not stay for dinner.

After all, the one making decisions in the huge manor was still Belinda, not Caroline.

“Something light? Don't starveyourself. If you don’t have enouoti\ |li ing allawance trie ow I'll giveyou a raise,” Caroline teased. Pleaseread the original content atNovelDrama.Org.

How could he make Caroline fall in love with him if his appearance was inferior to other handsome men?“You should head inside. I'll go back now. Let me know if any issues arise.”

Caroline said goodbye and turned to enter the house.novelbin

Darren watched her walk into the house before reversing the car and leaving the manor.

When Caroline entered the house, the lights were on, but the living area was empty.

Was her mother’s car not parked outside? Why was she not home?

Caroline ate her cotton candy and sat on the sofa.
