Caroline looked at Belinda with wide eyes. “Mom, what sort of thoughts am | supposed to have about him? Didn't you say he’smy all-around assistant who'll be loyal to me and me alone for the rest of his life?
“Isn't it normal for us to spend a lot of time together since he’s my all-around assistant?”
Belinda laughed and said, “He won't be able to fall in love, get married, and have a family unless he becomes your man. That'sthe only way he'll be able to build a family like normal people do.

“And | think he has feelings for you from the way he looks at you.”
Caroline was speechless for a moment. “Mom, you hardly see him. How can you tell if he has feelings for me just from the wayhe looks at me?”
Belinda just kept smiling. “I might hardly see him, but it's not like I’ve never seen him before. I’ve been through this, so there’s noway | can’t tell. You just can’t tell because you're too close to the situation.”
Darren had hidden his feelings for Caroline at his deepest core.
Whenever he was with Caroline though, he would always unconsciously reveal a bit of fondness. Belinda had inadvertentlycaught this and she was absolutely certain that Darren had feelings for Caroline.
