Chapter 3028

No wonder Elisa was her only best friend.Tasha was not picky about friends, but... It was difficult to sustain a friendship when two parties shared different views.

“Camryn only regained her sight because of Callum. He had to travel several times to get Dr. Carden to treat her eyes. | don’tknow how Camryn got so lucky to receive his love.

“| saw it when she came in too. Mrs. York treats her well. | heard that she’s very protective of Camryn.“Some people are just lucky.”

Tasha sensed the jealousy and bitterness in Sally's words, especially when Callum was mentioned. She eyed Sally and asked straightforwardly, “Do you have a crush on Callum?”

Sally blushed immediately.

Indeed she had. Whenever she saw him during banquets, she would hover within his peripheral vision deliberately.Unfortunately, she never caught his attention, not even once.novelbin

She told her mother that she liked Callum and wanted to be his wife.

Her parents supported her, but they said she had to count on herself to have Callum fall in love with her. That way, she would beable to marry into the York family.

Sally's parents also told her to not expect their help as they needed to do business with York Corporation and did not wish tooffend them.

Besides, it took two to tango. Even if her parents managed to secure a political marriage with the Yorks, it would be useless ifCallum had no feelings for her.

The York brothers involved in the family business rarely attended banquets. They would only show up if very influential figureswere the hosts.

Callum started tagging along with his parents to social events when he was twenty. He had attended about twenty or sobanquets in total, and Sally had hovered around him for about half of them.

Even so, he had no impression of Sally at all.One could imagine how depressed she was.Back when Callum was still single, Sally was still optimistic as there were no love rivals.

She wanted to confess to Callum boldly, just like how Elisa pursued Zachary. However, after seeing Elisa fail miserably andbeing ridiculed, she backed out.

Sally was not as carefree as Elisa was. She could never continue being herself after being mocked and slandered.

When she heard Callum had fallen in love with Camryn, she regretted not confessing to him and not having the courage topursue him. She had simply let him slip by her.

The moment Sally spotted Callum’s beloved that night, she could no longer contain her jealousy.
